Abstract: A method of decoding includes partitioning a rectangular transform tree node (TTN) using either a vertical binary tree split or a horizontal binary tree split to generate square child TTNs when a maximum transform unit (TU) size for the TTN is smaller than either dimension of the TTN. The method further includes partitioning the child TTNs using a quadtree split to generate transform units (TUs) when the first child TTN dimension and the second child TTN dimension are larger than the maximum TU size, determining that the child TTNs are TUs when the first child TTN dimension and the second child TTN dimension are less than or equal to the maximum TU size, applying the TUs to transform coefficients to generate residuals, and generating a reconstructed block based on the residuals.

Abstract: A method of decoding includes determining, by the video decoder, whether a resolution of a current picture being decoded is the same as the resolution of reference pictures identified by a reference picture list associated with the current picture; enabling, by the video decoder, decoder-side motion vector refinement (DMVR) for a current block of the current picture when the resolution of the current picture is determined to be the same as the resolution of each of the reference pictures; disabling, by the video decoder, the DMVR for the current block of the current picture when the resolution of the current picture is determined to be different than the resolution of either of the reference pictures; and refining, by the video decoder, motion vectors corresponding to the current block using the DMVR when the DMVR flag is enabled for the current block.

Abstract: A video coding mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes receiving a bitstream comprising a plurality of two dimensional (2D) patches in an atlas frame and a camera offset for a camera. The patches are decoded and converted to a three dimensional (3D) patch coordinate system to obtain a point cloud frame. An offset matrix is determined based on the camera offset. The offset is then applied matrix to the point cloud frame.

Abstract: A motion vector prediction method includes parsing a bitstream to obtain an index value of a candidate motion vector list and constructing the candidate motion vector list that includes. candidate motion vectors of K control points of a current block. The candidate motion vectors of K control points are obtained based on a 2N-parameter affine transform model used for a neighboring block of the current block, where N and K are integers greater than or equal to 2 and less than or equal to 4 with N not being equal to K. The method further includes determining, in the candidate motion vector list, target candidate motion vectors of the K control points based on the index value and obtaining a predicted motion vector of each subblock of the current block based on the target candidate motion vectors of the K control points.
