Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a transmission of a channel status information (CSI) report based at least in part on receiving a CSI request via PDCCH repetitions, based at least in part on transmitting the CSI report via PUCCH repetitions, or based at least in part on transmitting the CSI report via PUSCH repetitions. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the determined transmission of the CSI report, CSI processing criteria including one or more of a CSI processing timeline, a CSI processing unit occupation duration, a resource and port occupation duration, or a CSI reference resource slot. The UE may selectively transmit the CSI report based at least in part on the determined CSI processing criteria. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, devices may implement multiple autoencoders for communications. A wireless device may select an autoencoder to use for communications based on a size parameter for a message. For example, a user equipment (UE) may receive a grant from a base station indicating a size parameter for communicating a message. The UE and base station may determine, from a set of neural network (NN)-based encoders configured at the UE, an NN-based encoder corresponding to the size parameter. The UE may communicate the message with the base station according to the grant and based on the determined NN-encoder. In some examples, the UE and base station may determine a number of resource segments from a set of resources allocated for communication and may determine respective NN-based encoders for the different resource segments.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for performing initial access procedures including transmitting or receiving synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) based on a capability of a user equipment (UE) to use reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs). In some examples, a base station may transmit SSBs using two synchronization raster grids. For example, the base station may transmit SSBs on a first synchronization raster grid for UEs that do not support RISs and on a second synchronization raster grid for UEs that support RISs. In some examples, a base station may transmit different types of SSBs. For example, a base station may transmit a first type of SSB for UEs that do not support RISs and a second type of SSB for UEs that support RISs. A UE may search for and receive SSBs according to a capability of the UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine quantized parameters in a recurrent neural network (RNN), or gradients to derive the RNN, based at least in part on artificial intelligence (AI) modeling at the UE as part of a federated edge learning system. The UE may generate a message that indicates the quantized parameters or gradients determined by the UE. The message may include a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit or a set of bits obtained from a MAC layer, packet data convergence protocol layer, or application layer. The UE may transmit the message to a base station on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) radio resource that overlaps with PUSCH radio resources used by other UEs. Numerous other aspects are provided.
