    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, described techniques provide for performing multipath fading equalization at a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS), allowing a receiving device to omit an equalization procedure or to perform a simpler equalization. A transmitting device, such as a network entity, may select a RIS that is within a sufficient proximity to a receiving device, such as a user equipment (UE), that multipath fading of the RIS to receiver wireless link is likely to be below a threshold. The network entity may configure the selected RIS with a phase matrix to perform over-the-air equalization to compensate for multipath fading over the network entity to RIS wireless link. The UE may omit an equalization procedure or may perform a simpler equalization procedure as compared to a scenario where the RIS does not compensate for multipath fading.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a first UE may receive an indication of first resources from a second UE. In some examples, the second UE may be a UE configured to receive a transmission from a third UE over the first resources. In some such examples, the first UE may transmit, to a fourth UE, a sidelink transmission over available resources that exclude the first resources. Additionally, or alternatively, the second UE may be a UE that received sidelink control information from the third UE indicating the resources for transmission by the third UE to a fourth UE. In some such examples, the first UE may transmit, to the second UE, a sidelink transmission over available resources that exclude the first resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device, which may be a user equipment (UE), may perform a measurement on a wideband channel in a millimeter wave (mmW) frequency band. The wideband channel may include a set of subbands that span the wideband channel. Based on the measurement, the first device may determine a set of power control parameters for the wideband channel. The first device may determine to transmit a signal using a subband of the set of subbands and may modify one or more power control parameters of the set of power control parameters based on a power offset for the subband. The first device may transmit an indication of the modified one or more power control parameters to a second device. The first device may transmit the signal to the second device based on the modified one or more power control parameters.
