    摘要: An article of apparel has at least one panel including a first material having a first modulus of elasticity and a second material having a second modulus of elasticity, the first modulus of elasticity being greater than the second modulus of elasticity. An auxetic structure is provided by the first material on the panel, the auxetic structure comprising a pattern of reentrant shapes. A fill portion is provided by the second material on the panel, the fill portion formed by a plurality of stitches positioned inside of each reentrant shape of the auxetic structure, and the fill portion substantially filling an interior area defined by each reentrant shape. The fill portion is a base layer of the at least one panel and the auxetic structure is an auxetic layer positioned on the base layer.

    摘要: An intumescent mesh has a flexible grid with a plurality of strands that form a series of openings in the flexible grid, and an intumescent coating applied to the flexible grid. The intumescent coating is made of an expandable graphite and a polymer-based carrier as ingredients and having an activation temperature above which the intumescent coating swells. The grid is sized such that the intumescent coating permits airflow through the flexible grid until the intumescent coating is exposed to temperatures at or above the activation temperature, whereupon the intumescent coating swells to seal the openings and prevent air flow through the flexible grid.

    摘要: Void structures, systems and devices with void structures, and methods of fabricating void structures are disclosed. A void structure is disclosed with a repeating elongated-aperture pattern designed to provide negative Poisson's Ratio behavior under macroscopic stress and strain loading. The pattern can include horizontal and vertical elliptically shaped apertures that are arranged on horizontal and vertical lines in a way that the lines are equally spaced in both dimensions. The centers of each aperture is on a crossing point of two of the lines. The vertical and horizontal elliptically shaped apertures alternate on the vertical and horizontal lines such that any vertical aperture is surrounded by horizontal apertures along the lines (and vice versa), and the next vertical apertures are found on both diagonals. The voids can also act as cooling and/or damping holes and, due to their arrangement, also as stress reduction features.

    摘要: Provided are a perforated non-woven fabric and a production method thereof. The perforated non-woven fabric is formed by overlapping three-dimensional funnel-shaped openings of two perforated non-woven fabric layers. The first perforated non-woven fabric layer has a protruding portion and a recessed portion. The protruding portion has an internal space. An upper side of the second perforated non-woven fabric layer is adhered to a lower side of the recessed portion of the first perforated non-woven fabric layer. The overlapped three-dimensional funnel-shaped openings pass through the first perforated non-woven fabric layer and the second perforated non-woven fabric layer. An air flow passage is formed between continuous internal spaces of the protruding portions of the first perforated non-woven fabric layer and the second perforated non-woven fabric layer, thereby facilitating penetration of liquid and soft feces, reducing residues, enabling internal and external air flow circulation, and reducing discomfort from wetness.
