Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for oil flow for a variable displacement engine of a vehicle. In one example, a system may include an engine having a plurality of deactivatable cylinders capped by a cylinder head, an oil supply passage formed in the cylinder head and joined to a first oil inlet, deactivatable hydraulic lash adjusters (HLAs) arranged along a flow path of the oil supply passage, and a primer filter disposed within the cylinder head and fluidly coupling the oil supply passage to a second oil inlet. Oil may flow through the primer filter to the oil supply passage to maintain a flow rate of oil through the oil supply passage above a pre-determined flow rate.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards an engine assembly comprising a crankcase, a crankshaft, a lubrication system and fluid guide arrangement. During rotation the crankshaft is configured to drive a crankcase fluid flow in a crankcase chamber. The lubrication system comprises a lubricant drain for a drain fluid flow therethrough extending to a drain aperture at the crankcase chamber. The fluid guide arrangement is located adjacent or in proximity to the drain aperture. The fluid guide arrangement is configured for guiding crankcase fluid flow away from the drain aperture and/or for reducing the pressure of the crankcase fluid flow past the drain aperture, such that drain fluid flows from the lubricant drain.

Abstract: A rotating structure provides a first annular array of first radial scoops and a second annular array of second radial scoops arranged axially with respect to the first annular array of first radial scoops. A first component is arranged in an axially forward direction relative to the first annular array of first radial scoops. A second component is arranged in an axially aft direction relative to the second annular array of second radial scoops. A lubrication system includes at least one nozzle aimed at the first and second annular arrays of first and second radial scoops. A first lubrication delivery path fluidly connects the first annular array of first radial scoops to the first component along the axially forward direction. A second lubrication delivery path fluidly connects the second annular array of second radial scoops to the second component along the axially aft direction.

Abstract: Provided is a method for preventing the accumulation of cylinder oil at scavenging ports of low-speed marine engines. An oil passage is provided on a cylinder wall inside a cylinder. The oil passage includes multiple oil storage grooves processed in a circumferential direction of the cylinder wall. The oil passage is formed by obliquely extending from the inner side of the cylinder wall to the outside of the cylinder in a radial direction of the cylinder. The scavenging ports are uniformly distributed in a circumferential direction of the cylinder wall, and each of the oil storage grooves is correspondingly processed at an upper portion of the scavenging port upper edge of the scavenging port. Each of the oil storage grooves has a shape matching the curved surface of the scavenging port upper edge.

Abstract: A centrifugal compressor includes: a housing; an impeller rotatably disposed within the housing; a rotational shaft connected to the impeller; and a bearing member supporting the rotational shaft in the housing. An oil flow passage through which oil flows is formed in the housing. The oil flow passage includes a lubricating oil passage through which the oil flows as lubricating oil to be supplied to the bearing member, and a cooling oil passage through which the oil flows as cooling oil for heat exchange with a fluid compressed by the impeller. The cooling oil passage is configured so that the oil flows into the cooling oil passage as the cooling oil without passing through the bearing member.

Each on corners of the squire bottom face inside the cylinder head of the internal combustion engine, an oil dropping hole is provided to allow the oil used to lubricate valve operating members to flow thereinto. Also provided is an oil channel communicating with one or more of the oil dropping hole at the bottom thereof to guide the oil toward the driving gear transmitting the driving force of the engine.

Abstract: Intake and exhaust cam shafts are disposed a cylinder head in a vertical direction. The cylinder head comprises a first through hole and a second through hole. The first through hole penetrates an upper surface deck from a deck surface towards a lower surface of the cylinder head. The deck surface is a surface constituting an upper surface deck of the cylinder head. The second through hole opens to a side surface of the cylinder head in which cam pulleys of intake and exhaust cam shafts are provided. The second through hole penetrates the upper surface deck along an axial direction of the intake and exhaust cam shafts. The second through hole is positioned vertically below an opening in the deck surface of the first through hole.

Abstract: A balancer apparatus equipped with an oil pump includes a pump housing including a pump containing chamber provided therein, a pump forming member contained in the pump containing chamber and configured to discharge oil introduced from an intake portion from a discharge portion to an oil passage of the internal combustion engine when a rotational force is transmitted thereto, a control oil chamber provided between the pump containing chamber and the pump forming member in a radial direction with respect to a rotational axis of the pump forming member and configured to change a hydraulic pressure of the oil to be discharged from the pump forming member with the aid of the oil introduced therein after being discharged from the discharge portion, passing through an oil passage of the internal combustion engine, and being subjected to a pressure adjustment, and a balancer housing including a bearing retainer portion configured to transmit the rotational force from the internal combustion engine to the pump forming member. The bearing retainer portion supports a balancer shaft disposed along the rotational axis of the pump forming member. The balancer housing is attached to the pump housing in a direction of the rotational axis of the pump forming member. The balancer apparatus equipped with the oil pump further includes a plurality of oil passage opening portions formed together on one side surface of the balancer housing and each connected to an oil passage connected to a main oil gallery of the internal combustion engine. The plurality of oil passage opening portions includes a discharge oil passage opening portion of a discharge oil passage connecting the discharge portion and the main oil gallery of the internal combustion engine to each other, a feedback oil passage opening portion of a feedback oil passage connecting the main oil gallery of the internal combustion engine and the control oil chamber to each other, and a bearing oil passage opening portion of a bearing oil passage connecting the main oil gallery of the internal combustion engine and the bearing retainer portion to each other.

Abstract: A device wherein rolling motion is obtained by energy obtained as a result of combustion of solid, liquid or gas fuel oil. The device has an elliptic disc installed onto a symmetric ball on a ball shaft in a body. A fuel oil injector inlet channel and ignition bobbin inlet channels are provided in the body. A rolling wall is installed onto the body and an exhaust outlet pipe. The rolling wall separates a symmetric body chamber into a suction chamber and combustion chamber. In one cycle rolling of elliptic disk, fuel-oil taken into the suction chamber is transferred to combustion chamber. Fuel oil taking and fuel-oil compressing and explosion thereof by ignition is conducted simultaneously and continuously and not interrupted.
