摘要: A system and bent-pipe transponder component for determining a location of an individual or object in three dimensional space. The system includes a transmitter configured to transmit a first wireless electromagnetic signal at a first frequency and at least one transponder that is configured to responsively emit a second wireless electromagnetic signal having a second frequency that is frequency-shifted from the first frequency. An included receiver detecting the first and second wireless electromagnetic signals is configured to provide an output of location information for the at least one transponder. A bent-pipe transponder component may include a receiving antenna, an emitting antenna, and a frequency shift stage comprising an oscillator and a first mixer, with the frequency stage mixing a received first wireless electromagnetic signal with the output of the oscillator via the first mixer to produce the emitted second wireless electromagnetic signal.

摘要: An electronic device includes: a radar sensor configured to radiate a radar signal and receive a reflected signal of the radiated radar signal by: transmitting at least some chirp signals among a plurality of chirp signals belonging to the same frame through a single antenna among a plurality of antennas of the radar sensor; and transmitting other chirp signals among the plurality of chirp signals belonging to the same frame through at least two antennas among the plurality of antennas; and one or more processors configured to detect a target and determine a direction of arrival (DOA) of the target from radar data determined based on the at least some chirp signals, the other chirp signals, and the reflected signal.

摘要: A radar system that can block false echoes includes: a local oscillator configured to generate a chirp signal comprising a plurality of chirps, each having a corresponding envelope; a transmitter configured to transmit a signal corresponding to the chirp signal; and a modulation circuit configured to modulate the transmitted signal by regulating a magnitude of one or more portions of the chirp envelopes in a predetermined pattern such that the radar system can discern false echoes which do not match the pattern.

摘要: A method is described that can be used in a radar system. In accordance with one exemplary embodiment, the method includes calculating a first spectrum, which represents a spectrum of a segment of a complex baseband signal. The segment is assignable to a specific chirp of a chirp sequence contained in a first RF radar signal. The method further includes estimating a second spectrum, which represents a spectrum of an interference signal contained in the complex baseband signal, based on a portion of the first spectrum that is assigned to negative frequencies.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, radio signals may reach a receiving antenna at a user equipment by two or more paths, which can cause interference (e.g., destructive multipath interference, constructive multipath interference, etc.). To reduce the interference, the user equipment may perform interference suppression, shaping, or both based on choosing radar waveform patterns that are varied across chirps. In one aspect, the user equipment (e.g., a vehicle) may identify waveform patterns selected by nearby vehicles based on side channel or centralized signaling and may suppress or shape interference by selecting waveform parameters based on this information. In one aspect, the pattern of waveform parameters is chosen from a codebook of patterns. The selected pattern can be broadcasted to the other vehicles using a side-communication channel.
