    摘要: A device and process for measuring and analyzing spectral radiation within a desired wavelength range. A number of radiation sources are provided, in combination with a sensor for detecting radiation within the desired wavelength range. The radiation sources are selected to have spectral characteristics that are linearly independent from one another, but overlap so that, in combination, the radiation sources generate radiation over the entire desired wavelength range. Alternatively, a single radiation source generating radiation over the entire desired wavelength range is provided in combination with a plurality of sensors that have spectral sensing characteristics that are linearly independent from one another, but overlap so that, in combination, the sensors sense radiation over the entire desired wavelength range. Further provided is a control unit that stores a number of calibration functions with linearly independent spectral characteristics, the control unit further receiving output values from the sensors to determine the spectral characteristics of the object being measured.

    摘要: Apparatus for color measurements according to the C.I.E. system comprises a first fiber optic cable for receiving and linearizing light from a light source, a lens system for spectrally displaying the linearized light and focusing the light on one end of a trifurcated fiber optic assembly that integrates and separates the light according to the three C.I.E. tristimulus functions. The separated light is received by three photodiodes and electronically evaluated to determine the magnitude of the light corresponding to the tristimulus functions. The fiber optic assembly is made by forming, at one end, a bundle of optic fibers to match the contours of one of the tristimulus functions, encapsulating that bundle, adding a second bundle that, together with the first bundle, will match the contours of the first plus one other tristimulus function, encapsulating that second bundle, then adding a third bundle which together with the first and second bundles, has contours matching the sum of all three tristimulus functions. At the other end of the assembly the three bundles are separated and aligned with their respective photodiodes.

The system uses, in the preferred embodiment, a moving spatial filter to modulate a spectrum and a masking means to selectively mask the light from the modulated spectrum. A reference optical path and reference light signals are produced for subsequent processing with the light from the sample, corrected for any errors produced and processed in an analogue electronic unit to produce the tristimulus values X, Y, Z and the chromaticity coordinates x, y of the sample with respect to CIE standards for luminance and chromaticity values.

    摘要: Provided are a color-matching apparatus and a color-matching method for a repair paint capable of sufficiently supporting a color-matching operation that has been conventionally performed by experience and intuition, mainly at an automobile repair shop. The color-matching apparatus and the color-matching method for a repair paint calculates, for each coordinate axis, an error between colorimetric data of a painting object portion and colorimetric data of a painting plate (S3), retrieves, for each coordinate axis, a mixed paint having characteristic information acting in a direction of reducing the error as a color-matching candidate (S5), calculate a basic amount of the color-matching candidate corresponding to an amount of the repair paint used for painting the painting object portion (S7), calculate, for each coordinate axis, an error rate by dividing the error by a reference value corresponding to the colorimetric data (S8), and calculate a color-matching amount for each color-matching candidate by multiplying the basic amount of the color-matching candidate by the error rate (S10).
