摘要: According to one aspect, embodiments herein provide a PoE sensor comprising a housing, sensing circuitry disposed within the housing and configured to detect a physical phenomenon outside the housing, at least one internal power source equipment (“PSE”) circuit disposed within the housing and configured to transmit PoE power and data to at least one downstream sensor, and powered device (“PD”) circuitry disposed within the housing, coupled to the sensing circuitry and the at least one internal PSE circuit, and configured to receive PoE power and data from at least one element of PSE external to the housing, transmit PoE power to the sensing circuitry to initiate operation of the sensing circuitry, and transmit PoE power and data to the at least one internal PSE circuit to initiate transmission of PoE power and data to the at least one downstream sensor.

摘要: A self-healing communications network including a network bus that connects a plurality of field controllers. Each field controller is configured to operate an element of a system installed in a building or similarly large structure, and each is connected to the network bus. An end-of-line resistor can be automatically enabled in any field controller to designate that field controller as a terminal device on the network bus. In an embodiment, a parent controller detects each field controller on the network bus, and monitors and controls operation of the plurality of field controllers via commands transmitted over the network bus. The parent controller has first and second receiver/transmitter ports, both connected to the network bus. The parent controller is configured to automatically repair a break in the network bus by enabling at least one end-of-line resistor in one of the plurality of field controllers in order to properly terminate the network.

摘要: A valve with a dual rotational valve member is provided. The valve includes a first valve member and a second valve member. An actuation arrangement is operably positioned between the first valve member and the second valve member to rotate the first valve member in a first direction and the second valve member in a second direction opposite the first direction. This counter-rotation of the first and second valve members selectively aligns or misaligns a pair of flow ports of the first valve member with a pair of flow ports of the second valve member. When the pairs of flow ports are aligned, the flow path of the valve allows for straight through flow of a fluid through the valve thereby decreasing turbulence, back pressure, and noise.

摘要: System and methods for reconfiguring rooms or zones within an area in building automation are disclosed. One of the methods includes receiving a user request to group together at least a first segment and a second segment in a zone and verifying the user request using one or more rules. Upon verification of the user request, the method automatically links each object in the master segment to the corresponding object in the second segment to create the zone. Within this zone, a control program of the master segment provides a synchronized control of the environmental control equipment in the master segment and the second segment. This method of zoning provides the flexibility to perform rezoning on the fly without requiring traditional engineering, redesign or reprogramming.

摘要: A server associated with a building automation system of a building, determines an occurrence of an emergency in the building, based on detection of the emergency by sensors distributed in the building. The server transmits to a remote emergency service, an alert of the detected emergency. In response, the server receives from the remote emergency service, an authorized login to temporarily transfer to the remote emergency service, control of the building automation system to respond to the detected emergency. In response to the authorized login, the server transfers the control to the remote emergency service, and causes the remote emergency service to transmit a command to devices in the building automation system. When the command is received by the devices, it modifies or alters operation of the devices. After the detected emergency has been resolved, the server disables the temporary transfer of control by the remote emergency service.
