Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for encoding and decoding a video. A method of decoding a video according to an embodiment includes: determining an intra-prediction method of at least one neighboring block adjacent to a current block that uses an intra-skip mode; determining priority levels of candidate intra-prediction methods of the intra-skip mode for the current block according to the intra-prediction method of the at least one neighboring block and aligning the candidate intra-prediction methods according to the priority levels; obtaining, from a bitstream, index information indicating one of the candidate intra-prediction methods; determining a candidate intra-prediction method indicated by the obtained index information from among the aligned candidate intra-prediction methods as an intra-prediction method of the current block; and decoding the current block by using the determined intra-prediction method.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a forward multiple-hypothesis encoding/decoding method of an image block. In this method, motion information of a current block including two forward reference frame indexes and two motion vectors are selectively encoded into a bit-stream based on a current encoding mode. The motion information which is not encoded into the bit-stream is derived at a decoder by a predefined rule. This method sufficiently utilizes correlation within motion information of an image block and correlation between the motion information of the current image block and that of an adjacent image block.

Abstract: A method and an electronic apparatus for acquiring a floor map of a room layout are provided. The method includes acquiring a depth map and a two-dimensional (2D) image of an interior of a room; identifying a boundary line between a ceiling and a wall of the room in the acquired 2D image; determining valid pixels among pixels on the boundary line according to a first preset rule; identifying an electronic device in the room and determining a location of the electronic device; acquiring the floor map of the room layout by projecting three-dimensional (3D) coordinates of actual points corresponding to the valid pixels and 3D coordinates of the determined location of the electronic device onto a horizontal plane, wherein, the floor map of the room layout comprises connection lines between projections of the 3D coordinates of the actual points corresponding to the valid pixels and an icon indicating a type and the location of the electronic device, and wherein, the 3D coordinates of the actual points corresponding to the valid pixels are determined based on the depth map and the 2D image.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for encoding an image and corresponding terminals. Compared with the prior art where complex algorithms cannot be implemented by the ISP module in the terminal due to the limitation of its computing capacity, the present invention significantly improves the perceptual quality of the user viewing image by adopting more sophisticated image processing algorithms, while increasing the image compression ratio.
