    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communication system, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of multiple search space set groups (SSSGs), where a respective SSSG may be associated with a respective parameter set. Parameters in a parameter set may be power-saving parameters, reliability parameters, or a combination thereof. The UE may receive control signaling indicating a switch from a first SSSG to a second SSSG. The UE may switch from the first SSSG to the second SSSG and apply a first parameter set to the second SSSG, where the second SSSG is associated with (e.g., mapped to) to the first parameter set. In some examples, the SSSGs may be associated with respective scheduling request configuration groups (SRCGs), which the UE may use to transmit SRs to the network entity.

A user equipment (UE) may be configured with a policy for ordering multiple uplink shared channel resources granted for transmission of multiple transport blocks (TBs). The UE may assign data from one or more logical channels to multiple uplink shared channel resources in an order specified by the configured policy. In some examples, the UE may assign data from logical channels to uplink shared channel resources in a chronological order in which the uplink shared channel resources are scheduled, in a transport block size order of transport blocks to be carried in the uplink shared channel resources, in a modulation size order of the modulation orders associated with the uplink shared channel resources, or based on which uplink shared channel resources include uplink control information.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a trigger for the UE to perform a RACH procedure to access a network slice (e.g., service). The UE may receive, from a base station, a random access configuration for performance, by the UE, of random access with a physical network. The UE may identify a network slice to be accessed by the UE, where the network slice may be supported by a logical network associated with the physical network. The UE may select a slice-based random access procedure (e.g., two-step slice-based random access procedure, four-step slice-based random access procedure) based on the random access configuration and the network slice to be accessed by the UE. The UE may perform, with the base station, the slice-based RACH procedure in accordance with the selected slice-based RACH procedure type.

    Abstract: User equipments (UEs) with reduced capabilities may need a relaxed processing timeline relative to standard UEs. The relaxed processing timeline may provide UEs with reduced capabilities an appropriate amount of time (e.g., during a random access procedure) to decode messages from a base station (BS) and/or to prepare uplink messages. Aspects of the disclosure relate to a UE configured to transmit a message to a serving BS, the message including a request for timeline relaxation for transmission of a subsequent message, the message and the subsequent message being associated with a random access procedure. The UE may receive a response message associated with the random access procedure and indicating one or more timing offsets corresponding to the timeline relaxation. The UE may transmit the subsequent message to the serving BS based on the one or more timing offsets indicated by the serving BS. The subsequent message acknowledges the response message.
