    Abstract: Techniques are provided for determining a number of user equipment in an area. An example method for determining a number of mobile devices in a counting area includes determining the counting area, determining counting configuration information based on the counting area, transmitting the counting configuration information to one or more mobile devices, receiving counting responses from the one or more mobile devices, and determining the number of mobile devices in the counting area based on the counting responses.

    Abstract: The present disclosure addresses selection of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for control information multiplexed on a data channel. A spectral efficiency associated with control information may be derived as a function of a spectral efficiency associated with data. A modulation order and/or code rate may be selected that is suitable for the spectral efficiency associated with the data. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be configured to determine a first MCS for control information based on spectral efficiency associated with transmission of data, and further configured to transmit the control information with the first MCS, the control information being multiplexed with data.

    Abstract: A MSIM UE may perform network operations for each network subscription. However, if the MSIM UE employs subscriptions for the same network, these operations may be performed redundantly. By notifying the network of multiple subscriptions at the UE and associating the multiple subscriptions at the network, the present invention provides power-saving at the UE and reduces network signaling overhead by optimizing communication for MSIM UE. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be configured to indicate to a network that the UE is associated with a plurality of network subscriptions, the plurality of network subscriptions including at least a first network subscription and a second network subscription, transmit location information using the first network subscription to the network, wherein the location information corresponds to a UE location, and receive data associated with the second subscription from the network.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a set of reference signals (RSs) that are associated with a reduced activation time. The UE may receive activation signaling identifying a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state associated with an RS, of the set of RSs, to be activated for a communication. The UE may perform the communication using the identified TCI state, wherein the identified TCI state is activated within the reduced activation time after the activation signaling is received.     Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a network entity, such as a base station or a component of a base station, to indicate a PUCCH repetition factor to a set of UEs via group-common DCI. In one aspect, a network entity transmits, to a set of UEs, an indication associated with a number of PUCCH retransmissions via group-common DCI. The network entity receives, from one or more UEs in the set of UEs, one or more PUCCH retransmissions based on the transmitted indication. In another aspect, a UE receives, from a network entity, an indication associated with a number of PUCCH retransmissions via group-common DCI. The UE transmits, to the network entity, one or more PUCCH retransmissions based on the received indication.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may support communicating uplink control messages over a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) using a time domain waveform. For example, the base station may configure the UE with a first group of PUCCH resource sets associated with a first type of time domain waveform and a second group of PUCCH resource sets associated with a second type of time domain waveform. The base station may transmit downlink control information (DCI) to the UE that indicates a type of time domain waveform and a PUCCH resource of a PUCCH resource set. In response, the UE may select the PUCCH resource set from either the first group or the second group and may transmit an uplink control message using the indicated PUCCH resource and type of time domain waveform.
