    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for notifying puncturing of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a first control message identifying a set of resources used for transmissions by the base station. The UE may receive a second control message that includes an indication of a procedure used by the base station for a collision between the set of resources and a downlink channel transmitted to the first UE by the base station. In some examples, the UE may receive and decode signals on the downlink channel according to the indicated procedure.

A first wireless device may communicate, with a second wireless device, a first set of messages of a first message type that are acknowledged according to an acknowledgement procedure. The first wireless device, the second wireless device, or both may select a first subset of messages of the first plurality of messages and a first subset of bits from each message of the first subset of messages based on the first set of messages being acknowledged and according to a sampling configuration common to both the first wireless device and the second wireless device. The first wireless device, the second wireless device, or both may generate a key using bit values of the first subset of bits from each message of the first subset of messages, encoding a message using the key, and communicate the encoded message.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may determine the subcarrier spacing and carrier frequency used by a user equipment (UE) for communicating with the base station. The base station may select a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration for the UE that is based on the subcarrier spacing and carrier frequency used by the UE. The SRS configuration may define the temporal spacing between repetitions of the SRS. The base station may indicate the SRS configuration to the UE so that the UE transmits repetitions of the SRS according to the SRS configuration. The base station may measure the SRS repetitions from the UE to determine the Doppler frequency for the uplink channel. The base station may use the uplink Doppler frequency to select a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration for the UE.

In a wireless communications system, a first user equipment (UE) may receive a message from a second UE via a set of one or more antennas, where a first symbol period and a second symbol period of the message include a duplicated signal, and the first symbol period is immediately prior to the second symbol period in a time domain. The first UE may calculate a correlation between first data included in the first symbol period and second data included in the second symbol period of the message for each antenna of the set of one or more antennas. In some cases, the first UE may power down at least one radio frequency chain based on the result of the calculated correlation satisfying a threshold value.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One or more UEs communicating over sidelink may indicate transmit and receive categories to other UEs. A first UE may receive, in a sidelink communication message, an indication of a receive category of a second wireless device. The first UE may then transmit a shared sidelink channel message to the second wireless device based on the receive category of the second wireless device. In another case, a first UE may receive, in a sidelink communication message, an indication of a transmit category of a second wireless device. The first wireless device may then compare the transmit category of the second wireless device with a receive category of the first wireless device. The first wireless device may determine whether to decode a shared sidelink channel message from the second UE based on the comparing.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may support layer-to-layer listen-before-talk (LBT) interfacing for logical discontinuous transmission (DTX) events. That is, a layer one entity of the base station may indicate to a higher layer that a channel is unavailable or experiencing high levels of interference. For example, a layer one entity of the base station may perform a failed clear channel assessment (CCA) or LBT procedure on the channel. The layer one entity may then convey an indication that a scheduled message was not successfully transmitted to a higher layer (e.g., a media access control (MAC) layer that performs link adaptation and scheduling). The higher layer may schedule a retransmission of the message based on the indication. In some cases, the same link parameters may be used. In other cases, the link parameters may be updated based on channel conditions.
