Abstract: Techniques are provided for reporting, by a device, positioning-related information to a network entity. In an example, the device receives signaling information of the network entity. The signaling information indicates one or more parameters for a report on a reference signal that is transmitted by a base station. The device also receives multiple propagations of the reference signal upon a transmission of the reference signal by the base station. Based on the signaling information, the device generates the report, where the report comprises a power and a time delay per propagation of the reference signal. The device transmits the report to the network entity, where a position of the device is determined by the network entity based on the report.

Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to a closed loop control of user equipment (UE) or base station (BS) power amplifier nonlinearity. One aspect provides a method of reporting an out-of-band power measurement by a UE in a wireless communication network. A UE may receive a downlink data traffic signal on a physical downlink channel from a base station. The UE may then measure an out of band (OOB) power of the received downlink data traffic signal, the receive OOB power comprising an average power of the downlink data traffic signal in one or more (OOB) locations of the wireless communication network offset from the physical downlink channel. The UE may then generate an OOB power measurement information element (IE) indicating the measured OOB power and send the OOB power measurement IE to the base station in an uplink control channel.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may reduce a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) ratio for an uplink transmission. The UE may receive an indication of an allowed error vector magnitude (EVM) for each of an uplink data signal, an uplink reference signal, and an uplink control signal from a base station. The base station may determine the allowed EVM based on a signal to noise ratio (SNR) for the UE measured at the base station. The UE may generate one or more uplink signals. The UE may apply a PAPR reduction to the one or more uplink signals based on the allowed EVM corresponding to each of the one or more uplink signals. The UE may transmit the one or more uplink signals to the base station.

Abstract: A transmitting device may reduce a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) ratio by clipping samples that have an amplitude exceeding a threshold. For a downlink transmission, the transmitting device may transmit an incremental peak suppression information message (PSIM) to multiple user equipments (UEs). A UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a data and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for the UE, and at least a first incremental PSIM. The UE may decode at least the first incremental PSIM that is applicable to a MCS lower than or equal to the MCS for the UE. The UE may determine whether to decode one or more subsequent incremental PSIMs based on the MCS for the UE. The UE may apply peak information from the incremental PSIMs to the data channel. The UE may decode the data channel based on the MCS for the UE.

Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a UE to apply a modified interference cleaning data to account for differences in interference between at least one pilot resource and at least one data resource, thereby improving data decoding performance of the UE. The UE receives at least one pilot resource and at least one data resources from a base station and identifies interference cleaning data based on the pilot resource. The UE then determines whether a first interference affecting the pilot resource is the same as a second interference affecting the data resource. When the first interference is the same as the second interference, the UE applies the interference cleaning data to the data resource. Otherwise, when the first interference is different than the second interference, the apparatus applies a modified interference cleaning data to the data resource.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a network entity may determine to transmit first downlink control information (DCI) associated with a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) allocated to multiple resource elements of a control channel. The network entity may select a CDM group used for encoding second (e.g., future) DCI, for example, based on identifying a phase change pattern associated with the CDM group. A user equipment (UE) may monitor for the DMRS during a first time interval, and determine the CDM group for encoding the second DCI, for example using blind decoding. In some cases, the UE may receive the second DCI via the control channel based on the CDM group determined in association with the second DCI.

Abstract: Aspects are provided including one or more techniques for graphics processing involving hierarchical modulation and foveated rendering. A first wireless device obtains, from a network entity, a hierarchical modulated image including higher and lower priority bits. The first wireless device also obtains gaze information from a second wireless device indicating an associated foveal region. In response to the gaze information, the first wireless device processes a portion of the hierarchical modulated image associated with the lower priority bits using the gaze information. For example, the device decodes low priority bits in the hierarchical modulated image in regions closer to the fovea. The first wireless device subsequently provides an image including the processed portion to be rendered at the second wireless device. For example, the processed image may have a higher resolution in the regions closer to the fovea but a lower resolution in regions farther from the fovea.
