Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for channel estimation based on transmission spatial information. An example method of wireless communication by a user equipment includes receiving an indication of transmission spatial information associated with a network entity; receiving a reference signal from the network entity based on the transmission spatial information; and transmitting, to the network entity, channel state information (CSI) based on the received reference signal and the transmission spatial information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications system may support compression of channel information (e.g., channel feedback) in accordance with multiple compression schemes, from which a transmitting device may select for a channel reporting transmission. For example, a user equipment (UE) may be configured with multiple channel state information compression schemes, corresponding to different encoders or decoders, which may involve various machine learning or neural network techniques. The UE may select or otherwise determine which compression scheme to use for channel reporting in various scenarios, including a selection based on whether a compression scheme maintains relatively accurate reporting, or whether a more power-intensive or processor-intensive compression scheme is supported by an operating mode of the UE, among other selection criteria. The UE may indicate which compression scheme was selected by a transmitted indication included with or otherwise accompanying a channel reporting transmission.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for determining frequency hopping for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) repetitions sent using multiple frequency domain resource allocations (FDRAs). According to certain aspects, a user equipment (UE) determines at least first and second part frequency domain resource allocations (FDRAs) for a first physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission occasion, transmits a transport block (TB) via at least first and second parts of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) on the first and second part FDRAs with first and second precoders during the first PUSCH transmission occasion, determines at least first and second part FDRAs for a second PUSCH transmission occasion based on a frequency hopping scheme, and transmits the same TB via first and second parts of the PUSCH on the determined first and second part FDRAs with first and second precoders during the second PUSCH transmission occasion.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a channel state information (CSI) configuration indicating a first feedback reporting periodicity for a dominant, or strong, spatial layer and a second feedback reporting periodicity for a non-dominant, or weak, spatial layer. The UE may transmit a first CSI report for at least the dominant spatial layer according to the first feedback reporting periodicity. The UE may transmit a second CSI report for the non-dominant spatial layer according to the second feedback reporting periodicity. In some cases, for aperiodic reporting, the UE may be triggered by downlink control information to report CSI for the dominant spatial layer. In some cases, the CSI configuration may indicate different codebooks for the dominant and non-dominant spatial layers.
