An example method includes receiving, from a base station, a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration for the UE based on one or more DRX preferences. The example method further includes adjusting one or more parameters of the DRX configuration in response to a trigger at the UE. The example method further includes transmitting assistance information to the base station, the assistance information including the one or more parameters adjusted by the UE.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a duration of time that the UE dwells on a beam. The UE may update a data structure, stored in memory of the UE, to add or modify a stored duration value associated with the beam based at least in part on determining the duration of time that the UE dwells on the beam. The UE may determine that a condition associated with the stored duration value is satisfied.     Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives a service through an MBMS session. The apparatus receives a first notification of an upcoming suspension of the MBMS session. The apparatus requests establishment of a unicast bearer prior to the upcoming suspension of the MBMS session upon receiving the first notification. The apparatus receives a corresponding unicast version of the service of the MBMS session via unicast when the unicast bearer is established. In an aspect, the first notification may be received during a first MCCH modification period, the corresponding unicast version of the service is received via unicast during a second MCCH modification period. In an aspect, the apparatus may further receive a second notification that the MBMS session is suspended during the second MCCH modification period.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a system, method, and apparatus for implementing an intelligent Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) procedure that avoids unnecessary scanning of an unlicensed or shared spectrum, and hence offers efficient power utilization for user equipments (UEs). In one aspect, one or more UEs may periodically identify at least one of a current operating frequency, a mode of operation, and the public land mobile network (PLMN) associated with the UE to determine whether the UE is operating in a DFS channel. Based on the above-identified factors, the UE may determine whether the UE is actively scheduling uplink data transmission on the DFS channel, and thus dynamically enable or disable the DFS scanning procedures on the unlicensed or shared spectrum.
