Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive control signaling indicating a beam group reporting configuration including a trigger condition for reporting channel state information (CSI) associated with multiple beam groups each including multiple beams. The UE may transmit a first uplink message including an indication that the trigger condition has been satisfied, and may transmit a second uplink message including a measurement report that includes CSI associated with at least a first beam group of the multiple beam groups, the first beam group being associated with satisfaction of the trigger condition. The UE may then receive, in response to the second uplink message, additional control signaling including beam information for communications between the base station and the UE, and may communicate with the base station in accordance with the beam information.

Abstract: Wireless communication capabilities are disclosed that support determination of timing advance for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in joint acknowledgement feedback mode of a network having multiple timing advance groups (TAGs) configured per serving cell and multiple control resource set (CORESET) pool index values configured per bandwidth part (BWP). In a first aspect, a method of such capabilities includes receiving a configuration message including at least a feedback mode configuration configuring a joint acknowledgement feedback mode, a TAG configuration for each serving cell, and any CORESET pool indices for the BWPs of the serving cells. A user equipment (UE) receives downlink transmissions and determines a timing advance for a PUCCH with a joint acknowledgement message using the last downlink control information (DCI) message received scheduling the downlink transmissions. Alternatively, a UE may use a predetermined timing advance. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Inter-cell mobility across serving and non-serving cells based on layer 3 measurements is accomplished at the cost of increased delay. Inter-cell mobility across serving and non-serving cells based on layer 1 measurements minimized delay. A user equipment (UE) apparatus that is served by a serving cell of a base station receives, from the serving cell, a configuration to perform layer 1 (L1) measurements based on one or more reference signals from a non-serving cell. The UE also receives the one or more reference signals from the non-serving cell. The UE performs the L1 measurements on the one or more reference signals received from the non-serving cell based on the configuration received from the base station. The UE may perform the L1 measurements on a synchronization signal block (SSB), a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS), or a positioning reference signal (PRS) from the non-serving cell.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, indications of capability levels of the UE. Each capability level of the UE may correspond to a respective beam group supported by the UE in a UE cooperation mode. The UE may include sets of antenna components at the UE or distributed across the UE and on or more other devices in the UE cooperation mode. Each set of antenna components may form the respective beam groups. The base station may receive the capability levels of the UE and select an activated capability level for the UE from the reported capability levels. The base station may signal the activated capability level to the UE and perform communications with the UE according to the activated capability level and the corresponding beam group.
