Abstract:
An inertial sensor such as an acceleration sensor or gyro can have superior impact resistance by regulating displacement of a weight portion in the direction of an upper limit. The sensor includes a sensor portion that has a fixing part, a weight portion the height of which is a predetermined size shorter than that of the fixing part, and a beam portion that links the weight portion and the fixing part; a plate-like first stopper portion that covers the weight portion and is bonded to the fixing part with clearance of a predetermined size from the weight portion; and a flat, plate-like second stopper portion that is connected to the fixing part via a bump of a predetermined height on the side opposite the first stopper portion.
Abstract:
In a contact type image sensor having a sensor array mounting photosensors, a focussing unit for focussing light from an original upon the photosensors, and a frame for holding in position the sensor-array and focussing unit, the focussing unit abuts on the sensor array. In a contact type image sensor having a sensor array having a plurality of face-down sensor chips with a plurality of pixels mounted on a transparent substrate in line, a rod lens array for focussing light from an original, a light source for illuminating the original, and a frame for holding in position the sensor array, rod lens array, the transparent substrate is covered with a light shielding layer in an area other than an area on which the pixels of the sensor chips are mounted and an area corresponding to a focussing area of the rod lens array.
Abstract:
A rod lens array, used in an image sensor, is configured by sandwiching a plurality of rod lenses with two side plates. Among the two side plates, the one which is on the side of the illumination device is made thinner than the other side plate.
Abstract:
A packaging bag has a bag body. A body shaping member is disposed inside the bag body to maintain the packaging bag so as to provide a hexahedron shape. The bottom surface portion of the packaging bag is formed from a film material which is overlapped several times for applying strength and rigidity. The bottom surface portion includes: a lower end seal portion formed by sealing a portion of a lower extending portion; a triangular folded portion surrounded by a reference line and oblique lines, in which a portion of the lower extending portion extending downward from the side surface portion is folded toward a center side of the packaging bag with the reference line corresponding to the lower end of the shaping member, and a reference point corresponding to the lower edge of the lower sealing portion at the central portion in the longitudinal direction of the packaging bag and an apex point corresponding to the lower end of the shaping member at the longitudinal end edges of the extending portion from the side surface portion are connected and folded so as to provide inward a protrude portion; and a flat surface folding portion in which, at the lower extending portion, the lower end of the shaping member extending from the flat surface portion is folded centrally of the packaging bag as a reference line so as to accord with the triangular folding portion.
Abstract:
A package has a package body formed by mating film materials and sealing peripheral edge portions of the mated film materials so as to form a content accommodation compartment inside the sealed peripheral edge portions, the sealed peripheral edge portions being subjected to an easily peel-off treatment so that the sealed peripheral edge portions are separated and peeled off from each other when the package is opened. A seal opening starting portion is formed outside of one of the sealed peripheral edge portions so that the film materials are separated from each other at the seal opening starting portion, and at least one projection is provided on at least one of inner and outer side surfaces of the film materials forming the seal opening starting portion.
Abstract:
An acceleration sensor that suppresses fluctuations in the offset voltage and with an enhanced temperature characteristic is provided. The acceleration sensor comprises an weight that is formed in the center of a semiconductor substrate; a frame that is formed at the circumference of the weight; a beam or diaphragm that connects the weight and frame; a detection element that is formed on the beam or diaphragm and which detects bending of the beam or diaphragm that corresponds with the applied acceleration; and a lead that is formed on the beam or diaphragm and which guides the detection output of the detection element to a pad that is provided on the frame, wherein a dummy lead comprising a plurality of dot patterns which are at least electrically independent of the lead formed on the beam or diaphragm is formed on the beam or diaphragm.
Abstract:
This invention has as its object to provide an image sensor which can effectively attain higher read resolution, and an image processing apparatus and information processing system using the same. To achieve this object, function members including a light source (6) for irradiating an object to be read (PP) with light, a sensor (3) for receiving light reflected by the object to be read (PP), and an imaging element (7) for forming an image of the reflected light on a light-receiving portion of the sensor (3) are attached to and supported by a support member (1) to have a predetermined positional relationship. In order to assure high attachment positional precision and rigidity for the function members, the support member (1) is formed to have a hollow shape. The support member (1) is formed to have the hollow shape along its longitudinal direction. Two side portions of the support member (1) are formed to have a hollow shape, and are coupled at end portions in the longitudinal direction.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a fixing apparatus that has a fixing rotating member for holding and conveying a recording material supporting an unfixed image to perform fixation, driving device for driving the fixing rotating member, a cleaning rotating member for cleaning the fixing rotating member, and contact/separation device for bringing the cleaning rotating member into contact with and away from the fixing rotating member, wherein the driving device drives the fixing rotating member at a predetermined fixing speed during fixation and at a cleaning speed lower than the fixing speed at the time of cleaning by the cleaning rotating member.

Abstract:
An edgewise orthodontic bracket with relief on one of the wing tips of a tie wing is disclosed. This relief is provided on that surface of the tie wing which defines the mesial or distal end of the bracket. The relief in the illustrated embodiment is a chamfer provided on that corner of the tie wing tip which is disposed along the archwire slot on the corresponding mesial or distal end of the bracket to provide a space between the ligature and the tie wing to facilitate engagement of the ligature by a ligature cutter.
