Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for offloading traffic flows without service disruption are disclosed herein. User equipment (UE) is configured to receive an indication that a current packet data network (PDN) connection can be optimized. The current PDN connection is established over a first PDN gateway (PGW). The UE requests connection over a new PDN connection to a same type of service as the current PDN connection without releasing the connection over the first PGW. The UE routes new traffic flows over a second PGW corresponding to the new PDN connection and routes old traffic flows over the first PGW.

Abstract: Systems and methods of providing 5G access for a UE are generally described. The UE is simultaneously connected via dual radio operation to a legacy and 5G access system. The UE mobility management states for the access systems are independent of each other. The EPC and 5G CN share an HSS and may share a IP anchor. When handover occurs between access systems, the IP address is retained and the IP anchor used when the UE transmits an Attach Request having a Handover Attach Request Type and otherwise a new IP address is provided and the HSS but not the IP anchor is common between the access systems. The 5G eNB to which the UE is connected is standalone and connected to the 5G CN or dual mode and connected with an EPC via an LTE anchor in addition to the 5G CN.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are user equipment (UE) configured to communicate with a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) control function (CF) and a V2X Key Management Function (KMF). The UE includes processing circuitry configured to select a broadcast service from a plurality of available broadcast services and encode a key request message for transmission to the V2X KMF. The key request message includes a service identification (ID) of the selected broadcast service and identification of V2X security techniques supported by the UE. A key response message received from the V2X KMF in response to the key request message is decoded. The key response message identifies a V2X security technique of the V2X security techniques. The identified V2X security technique is execute to obtain security credentials provisioned by the V2X KMF. Data is encoded for transmission to a second UE during the selected broadcast service, where the encoding is based on the provisioned security credentials.

Abstract: IMS emergency call routing techniques are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise at least one memory and logic for a P-CSCF node, at least a portion of the logic comprised in circuitry coupled to the at least one memory, the logic to cause the P-CSCF node to receive an SIP INVITE message from a roaming UE, the SIP INVITE message associated with an attempt to place an emergency call via an unauthenticated IMS session, the logic to cause the P-CSCF node to obtain a PSAP callback number for the UE from a PCRF node via an Rx interface, identify a PSAP callback parameter for the UE based on the PSAP callback number, insert the PSAP callback parameter into the SIP INVITE message, and forward the SIP INVITE message to a PSAP. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: Embodiments of a Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are disclosed herein. The gNB may be configured with a gNB-CU and a gNB-DU. A first paging message for paging of the UE may be received at the gNB-CU from an access management function (AMF) entity. The first paging message may include: a paging identity of the UE; and a paging origin information element (IE) that indicates whether the paging of the UE is originated due to a protocol data unit (PDU) session from non-3GPP access. A second paging message to page the UE may be transmitted from the gNB-DU to the UE. The second paging message may include: the paging identity of the UE; and an access type parameter that indicates whether the paging of the UE is originated due to the PDU session from the non-3GPP access.

The D2D discovery status message may indicate an initiation or termination of a D2D discovery operation at the UE and may indicate if the UE is announcing or monitoring as part of the D2D discovery operation. The D2D discovery operation may be at least partly for configuring a D2D communication session between the UE and one or more other UEs. The UE may transmit, as part of the D2D discovery operation, a D2D discovery signal for reception at one or more other UEs. The UE may transmit and receive D2D packets over a direct link to a second UE as part of the D2D communication session.

Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include devices, systems of selectively providing Internet Protocol (IP) session continuity. In one example, a mobile device may include a radio to communicate with a wireless network, the radio to transmit a session setup request to setup a communication session, and to receive a session setup response in response to the session setup request, the session setup response including a first Internet Protocol (IP) address and a second IP address assigned to the communication session, and an indication that the first IP address is configured to maintain IP session continuity; and a controller to select to use the first IP address for the communication session, if IP session continuity is to be maintained for the communication session, and to select to use the second IP address for the communication session, if IP session continuity is not to be maintained for the communication session.
