    摘要: Techniques are disclosed relating to DC interference cancelation in received wireless signals. Disclosed techniques may be performed in the digital domain, in conjunction with analog cancelation techniques. In some embodiments, a receiver apparatus operates a local oscillator at a frequency corresponding to a particular pilot symbol in a received wireless signal. In some embodiments the receiver estimates DC interference at the frequency based on the received pilot symbol (this may be facilitated by the fact that the contents of pilot symbols are known, because they are typically used for channel estimation). In some embodiments, the receiver apparatus is configured to cancel the DC interference based on the estimate to determine received data in subsequently received signals at the frequency. Disclosed techniques may allow narrowband receivers to efficiently use more of their allocated frequency bandwidth, rather than wasting bandwidth near the frequency of the local oscillator.

When the UE initiates a cellular connection with the network, both entities may use information specified in the approved profile information, which may improve efficiency of the connection. In some scenarios, the approved profile information may identify a class of devices to which the UE belongs. The approved profile information may also be used in establishing connections with other devices of the same class.

    摘要: A user equipment (UE) operating in a communication system comprising a base station and one or more UEs. The UE may be configured to operate on or “camp” on two different networks with one radio. In this exemplary system, the radio may be normally connected to the first network (NW1) and may from time to time be “tuned away” from NW1 to a second network (NW2). The UE may inform NW1 that it has tuned away to another network, e.g., using start and end indicators. This information may prevent NW1 from wasting downlink capacity by unnecessarily allocating downlink resources to the UE during the tune-away. Alternatively, or in addition, this information may prevent NW1 from penalizing the UE, e.g., by reducing its future downlink allocations, since the UE does not respond to NW1 commands during the tune-away.

    摘要: A wireless communication device (UE) may include a paging subsystem that performs paging-monitoring as part of wireless communications of the wireless communication device. The UE may place wireless communication system resources not required during paging-monitoring into either a low-power state or a power-down state, and those system resources may remain in one of those respective states during paging-monitoring. The wireless communication system resources not required during the paging-monitoring may include at least a wireless communications protocol stack used during the wireless communications of the UE, and at least system resources used for performing uplink related tasks independently of wireless communication system resources used for performing downlink related tasks. The paging subsystem may include at least a control manager subsystem capable of decoding a physical downlink control channel, a downlink control subsystem capable of performing tasks related to a physical downlink data channel, and a message parser for parsing paging messages.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for using an unlicensed radio frequency band component carrier for uplink transmission are disclosed. A wireless communication device receives a carrier aggregation configuration, which can include at least one licensed radio frequency band component carrier and at least one unlicensed radio frequency band component carrier. The wireless communication device establishes a set of radio bearers and associates an unlicensed radio frequency band permission level with each of the radio bearers. The wireless communication device multiplexes uplink traffic for the radio bearers on the at least one licensed radio frequency band component carrier and the at least one unlicensed radio frequency band component carrier based at least in part on the unlicensed radio frequency band permission levels associated with the radio bearers.
