Abstract: An electronic device displays, on a touch-sensitive display, a user interface for an application. The electronic device, while displaying the user interface for the application, detects a touch gesture that includes movement of a contact on the touch-sensitive display at least partially over the user interface for the application. The electronic device, in response to detecting the touch gesture, in accordance with a determination that the touch gesture meets first system navigation criteria and video is playing in the application when the touch gesture is detected, concurrently displays a home screen user interface and a representation of the video that is playing in the application. The electronic device, in accordance with a determination that the touch gesture meets the first system navigation criteria and there is not video playing in the application when the touch gesture is detected, displays the home screen user interface without displaying representation of the video.

Abstract: An electronic device presents a user interface including an output property that represents a first type of output. The device detects a first input associated with modifying the first type of output via a first behavior model, and changes the output property over time based on the first behavior model and updates the user interface based on the changes in the output property. While updating the user interface, the device detects a change to the user input; and changes the output property over time based on a second behavior model based on: a value of the output property determined based on the first behavior model; and a first derivative of the value of the output property with respect to time determined based on the first behavior model. The device updates the user interface based on the changes in the output property that occur based on the second behavior model.

Abstract: In response to a first press input, a device displays a control corresponding to a control function with a first size and with a value indicator representing that a current value of the control function. After displaying the control with the first size and the value indicator, if a subsequent press input has not been detected within a threshold time, the device ceases to display the control; and if a second press input is detected on the same input region within the threshold time: the device adjusts the current value of the control function in accordance with the second press input; the device adjusts a size of the first control from the first size to a second size; and the device changes an appearance of the value indicator to represent that the current value of the control function is the second value.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface of an application. The device detects a first portion of an input including a contact on the touch-sensitive surface, and then detects a second portion of the input including movement of the contact across the touch-sensitive surface. Abstract: Mobile devices that perform synchronization operations are configured to reduce the amount of data that must be synced to perform a media content sync operation over a wireless connection. The sync operation is implemented as a two-phase arrangement, synchronizing first in a metadata sync operation and then in a media content sync operation. The source device transmits to the destination device a last known version number of the music database that was synced to the destination device and a current version number of the media database at the source device. In response to a failure of the network connection before completion of the metadata sync operation, upon establishment of a second network connection between the source device and destination device, the metadata sync is completed only for any version numbers that indicate a version subsequent to the last version number that was synchronized over the first network connection.
