Abstract: Systems and methods for arranging applications on an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display. An example method includes, at an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display, concurrently displaying a first application window and a second application window. The method includes receiving an input directed to first application window followed by a drag input. The method also includes that in response to detecting the drag input: moving the first application window in accordance with the drag input, and enlarging the second application window to an enlarged size that is larger than a size at which the second application window was displayed prior to detecting the first input.

Abstract: A computer system detects one or more inputs to subscribe to updates from a first application for a first event and to subscribe to updates from a second application for a second event. The system displays a user interface. Displaying the user interface includes: when the first event is active and the second event is not active, displaying a first representation of the first event in a first region of the user interface, and updating first information contained in the first representation of the first event based on updates received from the first application; and when the second event is active and the first event is not active, displaying a second representation of the second event in the first region of the user interface, and updating second information contained in the second representation of the second event based on updates received from the second application.

Abstract: At a display of a computer system, a user interface is displayed that includes a placement location configured to spatially accommodate a respective user interface object of a plurality of user interface objects corresponding to different applications. In response to detecting the input that is directed to the placement location and in accordance with a determination that the input meets first criteria, including a duration criterion, one or more selectable options associated with the first user interface object corresponding to the first application are displayed. In response to detecting the input and in accordance with a determination that the input meets second criteria, wherein the second criteria requires that the input includes movement in a first direction, display of the first user interface object is replaced with display of the second user interface object from the plurality of user interface objects associated with the placement location.

Abstract: An electronic device responds to a user input that includes a movement detected while displaying a user interface object at a first position relative to a first user interface of a first application. If the user input is directed to a location that corresponds to the first user interface object at a start of the movement, the electronic device moves a respective representation of the first user interface in accordance with the movement, relative to a background located behind the first user interface and remaining visible during the movement. If the user input is directed to a portion of the first user interface that is away from the location that corresponds the first user interface object, at the start of the movement, the electronic device performs an operation within the first user interface without moving the respective representation of the first user interface relative to the background.

Abstract: A computer system displays a respective page of a home screen user interface, where the respective page includes a first plurality of application icons in a first predefined arrangement. The computer system detects a sequence of one or more inputs corresponding to a request to insert, into the respective page, a first user interface object containing a plurality of application icons that are automatically selected by the computer system. In response to detecting the sequence of one or more inputs, the computer system concurrently displays on the respective page: two or more of the first plurality of application icons in the first predefined arrangement, and a second plurality of application icons that are automatically placed on the respective page in locations that are aligned with the first predefined arrangement of the first plurality of application icons on the respective page of the home screen user interface.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a home screen user interface that includes a plurality of application icons for different applications. Abstract: An electronic device with a display device displays a user interface that includes content. The electronic device, while displaying the annotation layer, displays a set of markup tools, including a plurality of tools for adding marks to the annotation layer. The electronic device detects a second input selecting a first markup tool of the set of markup tools. The electronic device adds one or more marks on the annotation layer in accordance with one or more additional inputs using the selected first markup tool.

Abstract: An electronic device having a display, radio frequency (RF) circuitry, and one or more input devices, displays a first user interface on the display. Abstract: Systems and methods for efficiently navigating between applications are disclosed herein. An example method includes: concurrently displaying: a first user interface (UI) associated with a first application, a status bar with status indications associated with system-wide functions; and a first affordance associated with a second application. While concurrently displaying, the method includes: detecting a first input that corresponds to selection of the affordance and, in response: replacing display of at least a portion of the first UI with a second UI that is associated with the second application; maintaining display of the status bar; and displaying a second affordance that is associated with the first application. While concurrently displaying, the method includes: detecting a second input that corresponds to selection of the second affordance and, in response: replacing display of at least a portion of the second UI with the first UI; and maintaining display of the status bar.
