    Abstract: A user listening to a content item on a preceding device and wishes to continue with the listening experience on a subsequent device initiates a continuity request from the subsequent device to the preceding device. The preceding device responds to the received continuity request by determining a multiverse identification that is contained in the continuity request, such that the multiverse identification uniquely identifies the content item that is currently playing on the preceding device over all known playback devices with which it has communicated. The subsequent device determines if the content item exists in a local database of the subsequent device and, if it exists, the subsequent device plays the content item from the local database of the subsequent device, and otherwise obtains the content item.

    Abstract: A device detects, while displaying a first user interface that includes a first plurality of notifications in a list of notifications, a first user input that includes a first input. In response to detecting the first user input, the device, in accordance with a determination that the first input includes a swipe input in a first direction and a determination that an end of the list of notifications has been reached, displays a search input region. In response to detecting the first user input, the device, in accordance with a determination that the first input includes the swipe input in the first direction and that an end of the list of notifications has not been reached, displays a second plurality of notifications that are between the first plurality of notifications and the end of the list of notifications.

    Abstract: An electronic device displays, on a display, a user interface that includes first and second interactive regions of an application. While displaying the user interface, the device detects an input by a contact on the touch-sensitive surface at a location that corresponds to a user interface element in the first interactive region on the display. In response to detecting the input by the contact, when the input meets intensity-based activation criteria (e.g., the contact has a characteristic intensity above an intensity threshold), the device obscures the first interactive region of the application with the exception of the user interface element without obscuring the second interactive region of the application. When the input meets selection criteria (e.g., the contact has a characteristic intensity below the intensity threshold), the device performs a selection operation that corresponds to the user interface element without obscuring the first interactive region of the application.
