    摘要: A removably mountable electrothermal print head for writing dots-matrix characters while moving along a thermosensitive recording medium and a mounting for the hand or a movable carriage of a printer, the head comprises a plurality of electrically energizable resistive printing elements coated on a support; the outer surface of said elements is partly cylindrical with the generatrices in parallel relation with a common direction which is transversal with respect to the printing line of the recording medium. The print head is positioned with respect to the recording medium with the part-cylindrical outer surface of the resistive printing elements in tangential relation with the recording medium. The printing head is positioned on and removably fixed to the carriage by a manually actuatable latch.

    摘要: An ink jet printhead, made of a silicon substrate and a plurality of metallic and dielectric layers deposited on said substrate. A plurality of chambers for ejection of ink droplets and a plurality of corresponding feeding ducts, connected to the chambers, are produced in a structural layer made of non-photosensitive epoxy or polyamide resin. The chambers and said ducts are delimited by at least one upper wall, the upper wall communicating with at least one nozzle for ejection of the ink droplets. The upper wall and an inner wall of the nozzle are coated with at least one metallic coating layer, suitable for increasing the resistance of the walls to chemically aggressive liquids, in contact with the walls.

The method of the invention may be applied for manufacturing an ink jet printhead (110), having one or more nozzles (113a, 113b, etc.), which has the advantage, with respect to the known printheads, of also being suitable for working with special inks characterized by high level chemical aggressiveness. In general, the ejection head of the invention, thanks to its structure which is globally highly robust and also chemically inert in the area of the junction (25), can be used advantageously with various types of liquids, even with marked chemical aggressiveness, in different sectors of the art, for example for ejecting paints on various types of media, generally not paper, in the industrial marking sector; or for ejecting in a controlled way droplets of fuel, such as petrol, in an internal combustion engine.

    摘要: The head comprises a hollow body (21) carrying a series of capillary tubes (12) of rigid material, on to each of which is fixed a sleeve-type piezoelectric transducer (16). A resin (26) is injected into the hollow body so as to encase first portions of the transducers. A flexible printed circuit (28) is connected to another portion (26) of the transducers, the circuit having a series of pairs of conducting areas hot-soldered to two conducting terminals disposed on the outside surfaces of the transducers.The printed circuit (28) is fixed between the hollow body (21) and an intermediate block (35) which is closed by means of a sealing diaphragm (38), having a series of sleeves (40) which are a close fit on the ends of the capillary tubes remote from the nozzles. For manufacture of the head, the resin is injected by positioning the hollow body (21) in an apparatus comprising a support frame for the hollow body and a transverse member provided with a plurality of reference holes for receiving and precisely positioning the ends (13) of the capillary tubes (12) which carry the nozzles. The frame is provided with a series of seats for receiving the opposite ends of the capillary tubes. The seats are closed by a resilient strip having a series of holes which are a close fit on the portions of the transducers which are to remain free from the resin.

    摘要: Mounted within a substantially hollow supporting and containing housing are tubes which communicate at one end with an ink reservoir and whose opposite ends are aligned with respective ink discharge nozzles provided in a plate member which faces the printing surface in use. The plate is mounted on the housing so as not to touch the ends of the tubes and with the interposition of yieldable sealing members. The tubes are mounted in the housing with the aid of a positioning tool the shape of which reproduces essentially the shape of the plate. A resin is subsequently poured into the housing and, after hardening, constitutes an elastic mass for retaining the tubes in the housing.
