The present invention provides a composite membrane comprising a porous base membrane and a polyamide coating disposed on said porous base membrane, said polyamide coating comprising a C3-C8 cyclic carbonyl compound and a C1-C8 amide compound, said amide compound comprising at least one N—H moiety. In addition the present invention provides a method of preparing a composite membrane comprising contacting under interfacial polymerization conditions an organic solution comprising a polyacid halide with an aqueous solution comprising a polyamine, said contacting being carried out on a surface of a porous base membrane, said organic solution further comprising a C3-C8 cyclic carbonyl compound, said aqueous solution comprising a C1-C8 amide compound, said amide compound comprising at least one N—H moiety.

Systems and methods for optimizing viral marketing efforts are disclosed in which a trial a viral marketing trial program is presented to a user. The viral marketing trial program includes a user incentive as well as a plurality of user tasks that needs to be completed to receive the user incentive. One or more user reactions to the plurality of user tasks are monitored; user feedback in accordance with the one or more user reactions is collected, the user feedback is analyzed using one or more metrics and the viral marketing trial program is adjusted in accordance with the analyzed user feedback.

A method of partitioning a weighted combinatorial graph representative of a dataset consists of the steps of generating a generalized Laplacian matrix corresponding to the combinatorial graph, computing the eigenstructure of the generalized Laplacian matrix, determining if an end criterion is satisfied using the eigenstructure, and if the end criterion is not satisfied, calculating new values for at least some of the plurality of weighting factors using the eigenstructure, updating the combinatorial graph with the new values for at least some of the weighting factors, and returning to the generating step.

The invention provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising a therapeutically effective amount of meloxicam, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the pharmaceutical compositions are in the form of a fast disintegrating dosage form suitable for releasing meloxicam rapidly in the oral cavity. Also provided are processes for preparing a pharmaceutical composition of the invention. Further provided are methods of treating arthritis or pain in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising orally administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition according to the invention.

An attachment module for a safety cone permitting a variety of safety enhancing devices to be easily attached to the cone. The attachment module comprising a top ring and a bottom ring joined together to form an assembly. The top ring and bottom ring sized to conform to a predefined safety cone angle or range of angles, the assembly having an attachment arm for attaching a safety-enhancing device. Examples of safety enhancing devices include, but are not limited to a flag, a sign, a safety tape holder, a light, or other safety-enhancing device. The assembly may be placed over a safety cone and is held secure by gravity and the wedge of the cone angle. Safety enhancing devices may then be attached to the module and thus to the cone to improve the effectiveness of the cone.

A control system for a rail vehicle system including a lead powered unit and a remote powered unit is provided. The system includes a user interface, a master isolation module and a slave controller. The user interface is disposed in the lead powered unit and is configured to receive an isolation command to turn on or off the remote powered unit. The master isolation module is configured to receive the isolation command from the user interface and to communicate an instruction based on the isolation command. The slave controller is configured to receive the instruction from the master isolation module. The slave controller causes the remote powered unit to supply tractive force to propel the rail vehicle system when the instruction directs the slave controller to turn on the remote powered unit. The slave controller causes the remote powered unit to withhold the tractive force when the instruction directs the slave controller to turn off the remote powered unit.

A computer-implemented method includes receiving a request for improving vehicular energy conservation. The method further includes responsively providing at least one action to a vehicle computing system, based at least in part on received vehicle data. Also, the method includes receiving data relating to a change in vehicle energy efficiency resulting from implementation of the action. The method additionally includes analyzing the received data and action along with data resulting from similar actions to determine a generalized effect of the action.

Approaches for assessing hemodynamic characteristics for an organ of interest are related. In one implementation, a fluid dynamics model may be provided with data derived from an anatomic imaging modality and blood flow information derived by ultrasound to derive the desired hemodynamic characteristics. In one such implementation, a fractional flow reserve is estimated.

An insulated icemaking compartment is provided in the fresh food compartment of a bottom mount refrigerator. The icemaking compartment may be integrally formed with the liner of the fresh food compartment, or alternatively, may be modular for installation anywhere in the fresh food compartment. A removable bin assembly with a front cover normally seals the icemaking compartment to maintain the temperature in the compartment. A cold air duct formed in the rear wall of the refrigerator supplies cold air from the freezer compartment to the icemaking compartment. A return air duct directs a portion of the air from the icemaking compartment back to the freezer compartment. An air vent in the icemaking compartment directs another portion of air into the fresh food compartment. A control system provides for controlling refrigerator functions in a manner that promotes energy efficiency.
