摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a transport roller; a reading mechanism; a manuscript sensor configured to detect the manuscript; a transport controller which controls the transport roller; a display unit; and a display controller. The display controller is configured such that the display unit is allowed to display a first screen in a case that the manuscript is not detected by the manuscript sensor; and the display unit is allowed to display a second screen indicating a discharge designator to discharge the manuscript from the image forming apparatus in place of the first screen indicating no discharge designator in a case that the manuscript is detected by the manuscript sensor. The transport controller is configured such that the manuscript interposed by the transport roller is discharged without reading the manuscript by the reading mechanism in a case that an input with respect to the discharge designator is accepted.

摘要： An image processing apparatus includes a print mode initializing unit, a print mode modifying unit, a data retaining unit that retains the modified print settings for a predetermined period, a data receiving unit that receives data, a storage unit that stores the data, a data size calculating unit that calculates a size of an available storage area of the storage unit and a size of print data in accordance with the modified print settings when the data receiving unit receives the data when the modified print settings are retained. A comparing unit outputs a signal in response to a condition where the size of print data exceeds the available storage area. A print mode adjustor modifies, in response to the signal, the print settings so that the print data can be stored in the available storage area.

摘要： A network system for remotely setting up a network device from a host terminal, the network device and the host terminal being connected to a network is provided. The network device includes a storage unit configured to store setting information, and a controller which performs a controlling operation in accordance with the setting information stored in the storage unit. The host terminal includes a display unit on which information is displayed, and an input unit configured to accept user operation. The network system has a first state in which the controller of the network device operates to display the setting information on the display unit in response to a first signal being inputted to the controller through the input unit of the host terminal, and a second state in which the controller of the network device operates to display the setting information on the display unit in such a manner that editing of the setting information is allowed in response to a second signal being inputted to the controller via the network through use of the input unit of the host terminal during the first state.
