Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques that may be utilized in networks with base stations and/or mobile devices that use large number of antennas or mutli-dimensional arrays of antennas.
Abstract:
In wireless communication systems, a determination may be made whether to hand off a user equipment (UE) based on whether the UE encounters time varying interference, such as UE to UE interference. The time varying interference may be present only in a specific set of time/frequency resources or subframes. Measurement reporting may be restricted to time/frequency resources which do not experience the time varying interference.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for cross-carrier indication of TDD (Time Division Duplex) UL (Uplink)/DL (Downlink) subframe configuration. A UE may receive a configuration of a first index for a first cell, wherein the first index is mapped to a first position in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) message. The UE may receive the DCI message in a subframe and determine an indication of a UL/DL subframe configuration for the first cell based on the first index and the DCI message. The UE may communicate with the first cell based on the determined UL/DL subframe configuration for the first cell.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE). An exemplary method, performed by a UE, generally includes receiving a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), and determining, based on a first one or more bits in the PBCH, whether a second one or more bits in the PBCH are used to indicate control information for communications related to a first type of applications or a second type of applications.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives, by a user equipment (UE) during a first subframe, an indication of a dynamic uplink/downlink (UL/DL) subframe configuration. The apparatus determines an uplink hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) timing based on an uplink reference subframe configuration and at least one of the dynamic UL/DL subframe configuration or a downlink reference subframe configuration. The apparatus selects an uplink subframe for communication based on the determined uplink HARQ timing.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus determines a first starting index for transmitting first control information in a first search space, determines a second starting index for transmitting second control information in a second search space, and transmits the second control information in the second search space at the second starting index when the first starting index and the second starting index are not the same value. The apparatus further transmits to a user equipment (UE) control information in a first search space, receives information from the UE corresponding to the transmitted control information, and decodes the received information based on the UE parsing the control information according to the first search space and based on the UE incorrectly parsing the control information according to a second search space.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus determines to communicate through D2D communication on a first radio-frequency channel. Additionally, the apparatus detects a transmission of a base station transmitting on downlink on a second radio-frequency channel. Additionally, the apparatus determines D2D transmission parameters based on the detected transmission of the base station. Further, the apparatus communicates through D2D using the determined D2D transmission parameters.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that may be applied in systems to allow for communication over a control channel utilizing a relatively narrow band (e.g., six physical resource blocks) based search space. An exemplary method, performed by a user equipment, generally includes identifying, within a subframe, a first search space to monitor for a downlink control channel that occupies a first number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) that represents a narrowband size and monitoring at least the first search space for the downlink control channel transmitted in the subframe.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that may be applied in systems comprising machine type communication (MTC) user equipments (UEs). An exemplary method performed by a base station comprises using a first transport block size (TBS) table to communicate with a first type of user equipment (UE), using a second TBS table to communicate with a second type of UE, wherein the first type of UE supports a reduced peak data rate relative to the second type of UE, signaling information to the first type of UE for use in determining a TBS from the first TBS table, and communicating with the first type of UE, with one or more transmissions having a payload with a number of bits determined based on a TBS value from the first TBS table selected based, at least in part, on the signaled information.
Abstract:
In a first configuration, a UE may determine a PRACH power ramp-up Pramp-up for the PRACH with respect to a previously unsuccessful PRACH transmission (e.g., a previously unsuccessful PRACH transmission with a highest transmission power). In a second configuration, when the UE is in a power-limited scenario, the UE drops/refrains from transmitting the PRACH transmission if Pramp-up−Pscal
