Abstract: At times a UE may have a data transmission that needs to extend beyond a resource grant in an ULRB portion of a slot. The UE may receive resource region reservation information from a base station and determine when to extend an UL transmission from the ULRB portion of a slot into the ULCB portion of the slot based resource region reservation information. The resource region reservation information may indicate ULCB resources which are reserved for PUCCH, PRACH, PUSCH, SRS, or other transmissions. The UE may determine to refrain from extending the data transmission into the ULCB when at least a portion of the data transmission would overlap reserved resources as indicated by the resource region reservation information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing allocations and signaling for different types of communications within a wireless communication system. An eNB and/or a UE may be configured to operate within the wireless communication system using two or more different types of communications. The different types of communications may differ, for example, based on round trip time (RTT) between transmission and acknowledgment of receipt of the transmission, a transmission time interval (TTI) for wireless transmissions, and/or duty cycle timing of wireless transmissions. Reserved resources within a system bandwidth may be identified for a first type of communications, and all or a portion of remaining resources within the system bandwidth may be allocated for other communications that may differ from the first type of communications based on, for example, RTT, TTI, and/or duty cycle timing.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) schemes to improve the likelihood that information is received correctly over a wireless communications link. In HARQ, when a transmitting device determines that a receiving device failed to successfully decode a transmission of information, the transmitting device may retransmit the information to the receiving device. In some cases, HARQ techniques may be used for communications associated with different types of services. In such cases, to keep the latency of communications within a latency budget for a particular type of service, wireless devices may utilize the techniques described herein to dynamically terminate HARQ retransmissions. For instance, a transmitting device may avoid retransmitting information when an amount of time that has elapsed since an original transmission of the information has exceeded the latency budget.

Abstract: Coordinated wireless communications using multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs) are described. Multiple TTIs may include a first TTI and a second TTI, the second TTI having a shorter duration than the first TTI. One or more parameters may be determined for communications using the first TTI and the second TTI. A first parameter of the determined parameters for the second TTI may be associated or linked with a corresponding parameter of the first TTI, and communications using the first TTI or the second TTI may be performed using the first parameter. Wireless network nodes using the first TTI may form a CoMP cooperating set, and wireless network nodes using the second TTI may for another CoMP cooperating set, and the first parameter may be applied to each of the CoMP cooperating sets.

A user equipment (UE) may indicate, to a base station, a capability of the UE to use a channel measurement resource for both a joint transmission hypothesis and a single transmission hypothesis. The UE may receive, based on indicating the capability of the UE, a configuration message indicating a first channel measurement resource that is associated with a first transmission configuration indicator state and that is configured for a first joint transmission hypothesis. The UE may obtain a channel measurement for both the first joint transmission hypothesis and a first single transmission hypothesis using the first channel measurement resource based on the configuration message.
