    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing allocations and signaling for different types of communications within a wireless communication system. An eNB and/or a UE may be configured to operate within the wireless communication system using two or more different types of communications. The different types of communications may differ, for example, based on round trip time (RTT) between transmission and acknowledgment of receipt of the transmission, a transmission time interval (TTI) for wireless transmissions, and/or duty cycle timing of wireless transmissions. Reserved resources within a system bandwidth may be identified for a first type of communications, and all or a portion of remaining resources within the system bandwidth may be allocated for other communications that may differ from the first type of communications based on, for example, RTT, TTI, and/or duty cycle timing.

    Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) device, a joint transmission of channel state information (CSI) reference signals (CSI-RS) from a first transmission and reception point (TRP) associated with a wireless network and at least a second TRP associated with the wireless network. The method further includes determining a joint rank parameter associated with the joint transmission and accessing, based on the joint rank parameter, a rank-to-port mapping codebook to determine a port index parameter. The method further includes, after determining the port index parameter, communicating, by the UE device, with one or more of the first TRP or the second TRP.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for determination, selection, configuration, and/or indication of resource allocation patterns for scheduling services, such as reliable low-latency services (e.g., ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC)) and other services in a wireless network, such as new radio (NR) (e.g., a 5G network). A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes determining a resource allocation pattern that defines resources, from a plurality of configured resource allocation patterns, wherein at least one of the plurality of configured resource allocation patterns comprises a plurality of resource elements with at least a first resource element associated with a first resource allocation restriction and at least a second resource element associated with a second resource allocation restriction and communicating based on the determined resource allocation pattern.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may indicate, to a base station, a capability of the UE to use a channel measurement resource for both a joint transmission hypothesis and a single transmission hypothesis. The UE may receive, based on indicating the capability of the UE, a configuration message indicating a first channel measurement resource that is associated with a first transmission configuration indicator state and that is configured for a first joint transmission hypothesis. The UE may obtain a channel measurement for both the first joint transmission hypothesis and a first single transmission hypothesis using the first channel measurement resource based on the configuration message.
