Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine a group-specific multicast/broadcast communication configuration. The group-specific multicast/broadcast communication configuration may be independently configured from a unicast communication configuration and a cell-specific communication configuration. The UE may determine one or more multicast/broadcast communication parameters according to the group-specific multicast/broadcast communication configuration. The communication parameters may include a time resource allocation, a frequency resource allocation, a slot configuration, a downlink reference signal configuration and a resource mapping configuration for receiving multicast/broadcast downlink signals. The UE may receive multicast/broadcast downlink signals from the base station based on the one or more multicast/broadcast communication parameters.

For example, a method of wireless communication can include receiving a downlink control information (DCI) message having a DCI format, the DCI message scheduling a downlink data communication over a single component carrier or multiple component carriers; determining, based on the received DCI message, whether the downlink data communication is scheduled over the single component carrier or the multiple component carriers; and receiving, based on the determining, the downlink data communication over the single component carrier or the multiple component carriers.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for resource selection supporting user equipment (UE)-shared multicast feedback. In some systems, a UE and a base station may support multicast communications. The base station may configure a set of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources that the UE may use for multicast feedback messages. The base station may transmit an indication of the set of PUCCH resources to the UE, and the UE may determine to use a PUCCH resource of the set of PUCCH resources based on one or more indications from the base station. The UE may fail to receive a multicast message from the base station and may transmit a UE-shared negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback message. The base station may re-transmit the multicast message according to a set of transmission parameters that is based on which PUCCH resource was used by one or more UEs for multicast NACK feedback.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A set of uplink control channel resources that are configured for acknowledgment transmissions may be shared among user equipments (UEs) that are enabled to receive multicast communications. Each of the shared set of uplink control channel resources may be associated with set(s) of channel state information. UEs may measure a multicast channel to determine channel state information for the multicast channel. After failing to receive a multicast transmission, UEs may transmit an acknowledgment feedback message over one of the shared uplink control channel resources that is associated with the set of channel state information determined by the UE. A base station that receives the acknowledgment feedback message may transmit a multicast retransmission for the UEs using transmission parameters that are adapted for the set(s) of channel state information associated with the occupied uplink control channel resource.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for wireless communication are provided. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a DCI from a base station, the DCI including an update to a periodically-occurring scheduling, where an absolute time for the update to take effect is specified in an RRC configuration of the DCI. The UE applies the update to the periodically-occurring scheduling for communications of the UE beginning at and following the absolute time. In another aspect, the UE receives at least one downlink communication that updates a plurality of SPS or CG parameters. The UE determines an action time for the update to take effect for each parameter, where the action time is a function of a type of each parameter. The UE applies the update to each parameter for communications of the UE beginning at and following a respective action time.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for uplink shared channel resource allocation for multi-cell scheduling. A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message including a first set of bits and a second set of bits defining resource allocation across multiple network entities, as well as indicating that uplink shared channel messages to a first network entity and a second network entity are scheduled according to a resource allocation type. The first set of bits may indicate one or more resource block indices and the second set of bits may indicate one or more resource block set indices. The UE may transmit the uplink shared channel messages to the first network entity and the second network entity according to the first set of bits and the second set of bits.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit a message to a network entity, such as a base station, indicating a capability of the UE to support multiple supplemental uplink frequency bands bundled to a serving cell. The UE may transmit the capability in a capability report with other capability information, or independent of a capability report. The UE may receive an information element (IE) in control signaling. The IE may indicate a set of supplemental uplink frequency bands for the serving cell. Each supplemental uplink frequency band may span one or more supplemental uplink carriers.
