    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for enhancing beam failure indications and detections. In particular, the present disclosure provides techniques for identifying and indicating reasons associated with beam failures. For example, in aspects, a user equipment (UE) may evaluate multiple beam failure indicator (BFI) trigger conditions based on beam failure detection (BFD) reference signal (RS) measurements. The UE logs different types of BFIs based on the evaluating. If a logged number of BFIs exceeds a threshold value within a measurement period, the UE declares a beam failure and transmits, to a network entity, an indication of the beam failure and a reason for the beam failure based on the different types of BFIs detected.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish, with a network entity, a wireless connection that uses a set of symbols per transmission time interval (TTI) for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communications, where each symbol of the set of symbols may correspond to a fast Fourier transform (FFT) window and may include a guard interval (GI) portion and a data portion within the FFT window. In some examples, the UE may receive a control message indicating at least one parameter associated with a power offset between a data signal of the set of symbols and a reference signal of the set of symbols that is associated with the data signal. As such, the UE may communicate with the network entity, the data signal, and the reference signal according to the indicated power offset using the set of symbols.

    Abstract: A configuration for an originating wireless device to transmit one or more MAC-CEs, where each of the one or more MAC-CEs include information related to the number of MAC-CEs transmitted. The apparatus transmits at least one of a plurality of related MAC-CEs to a second wireless device based on a determination of at least a first path of a plurality of paths to transmit the at least one of the plurality of related MAC-CEs. The at least one of the plurality of related MAC-CEs indicates a number of the plurality of related MAC-CEs transmitted by the first wireless device. The apparatus monitors for a response MAC-CE from the second wireless device based on a transmission of the at least one of the plurality of related MAC-CEs. The response MAC-CE corresponds to an activation of the MAC-CE transmitted to the second wireless device.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to beam management reports that enable selection of best antenna panel and beam combinations for uplink transmissions from a user equipment (UE) when one or more antenna panels of the UE are subject to a maximum permissible exposure (MPE) limit. The UE receives a reference signal at a plurality of antenna panels, wherein the reference signal is received in different beams on each of the plurality of antenna panels. The UE determines N beams providing highest measured strengths of the reference signal on at least one of the plurality of antenna panels, wherein the MPE limit is to be applied to the at least one of the plurality of antenna panels for uplink transmissions. The UE transmits a beam management report including reduced highest measured strengths of the reference signal in the N beams to account for the MPE limit.
