Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may receive a random access channel (RACH) message. The base station may determine, based at least in part on the RACH message, whether the RACH message was transmitted directly to the base station by a user equipment (UE) or whether the RACH message was relayed from the UE to the base station via a millimeter wave repeater. The base station may perform a beam management procedure based at least in part on the determination. Numerous other aspects are provided.

In some aspects, a base station may receive, from a repeater having a first interface and a second interface, information associated with one or more capabilities of the repeater, the second interface being different from the first interface. The base station may determine an operation mode for the repeater based at least in part on the information associated with the one or more capabilities of the repeater, and may communicate with the repeater via the first interface or the second interface. In some aspects, a repeater may transmit, to a base station via a first interface, information associated with one or more capabilities of the repeater, and may communicate via the first interface or via a second interface in accordance with an indicated operation mode, the second interface being different from the first interface. Abstract: A solution to enable synchronization and establishing links among the APs using available RATs with minimum modifications is provided. In one aspect, an apparatus may determine a first set of resources to be used for establishing network access for a set of UEs. The apparatus may determine a second set of resources for establishing backhaul links with a set of base stations. A resource schedule of the apparatus may include the first set of resources and the second set of resources. In another aspect, an apparatus may be a first base station. The first base station may receive a set of reports from a set of base stations. The first base station may determine a resource schedule for a second base station within the set of base stations based on the set of reports. The first base station may transmit the resource schedule to the second base station.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless node may identify a first set of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs), within a synchronization signal (SS) burst set, that are used to indicate random access channel (RACH) occasions for a first wireless link type, the SS burst set including a second set of SSBs used to indicate RACH occasions for a second wireless link type; and transmit a RACH message in a RACH occasion corresponding to an SSB included in the first set of SSBs. In some aspects, a wireless node may configure an SS burst set to include a first set of SSBs to be used to indicate RACH occasions for a first wireless link type, and a second set of SSBs to be used to indicate RACH occasions for a second wireless link type; and transmit the SS burst set. Abstract: Systems and methods for determining round trip time (RTT) includes a second node, which receives a first signal from a first node at a first time, determines a timing advance based on a first estimated channel response for the first signal, and transmits at a second time, a second signal to the first node, wherein the second time occurs after the first time by an amount of a pre-specified delay for RTT estimation minus the timing advance. The first node transmits the first signal to the second node at an initial time, receives the second signal from the second node, and determines a timing statistic from a second estimated channel response for the second signal, the timing statistic estimated at a third time. The first node determines the RTT as the third time minus the initial time minus the pre-specified delay for RTT estimation.

Abstract: A relay node at a base station may configure a first radio channel with a first priority and a first priority ID, and configure a second radio channel with a second priority and a second priority ID. The base station may configure a third radio channel with a first bearer ID and a first mapping to the first priority, and configure a fourth radio channel with a second bearer ID and a second mapping to the second priority. The relay node may forward packets from the third radio channel to the first radio channel based on the first mapping and insert the first priority ID into a header in the packets. The relay node may forward packets from the fourth radio channel to the second radio channel based on the second mapping, and insert the second priority ID into a header in the packets.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable mediums for wireless communication are disclosed by the present disclosure. In an example, a host device may determine a pool of preconfigured resources for discovery. The preconfigured resources are designated for one or more of: a discovery preamble, a query signal, a discovery message, and a random access preamble. The host device may transmit the discovery preamble on one or more resources designated for the discovery preamble. A client device may receive the discovery preamble and determine that the client device is interested in receiving information regarding the host device. The client device may transmit a query signal if interested. The host device may determine whether the query signal is received on a resource designated for the query signal in response to the discovery preamble. The host device may transmit a discovery message in response to receiving the query signal.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for determining a maximum transport block size. In certain aspects, a method comprises receiving, from a user equipment (UE), information indicative of a size of a buffer at the UE for storing data received from the BS. The method further includes determining a maximum transport block size based on the size of the buffer at the UE and a number of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes used by the BS to send data to the UE. The method further comprises transmitting a transport block with a size not exceeding the maximum transport block size to the UE.
