    Abstract: Provided are an alpha value determination apparatus, an alpha value determination method, a program, and a data structure of image data that can represent an image rich in both color and transparency while suppressing the storage capacity necessary for storing the image data. A pixel data storage unit stores a plurality of pieces of pixel data indicating a pixel value and an index and associated individually with a plurality of pixels included in an image. An alpha value data storage unit stores alpha value data that is referenced in common by the index indicated in the plurality of pieces of pixel data and that indicates correspondence between the index and an alpha value. A combined image generation unit determines alpha values of a plurality of pixels associated with the respective pieces of pixel data based on the index indicated in the pixel data and the alpha value data.

    Abstract: Techniques for better information sharing and control switching in a graphical user interface (GUI) are described. In an example, upon a user request, a menu is presented over content from a first application based on an execution of a menu application. The menu comprises a window presented in a first state that corresponds to a second application other than the first application. Upon a user selection of the window, the window is transitioned and presented in a second state. During the transition, an overlay window supported by an application module is presented that completely overlaps the window in the second state. While the window and the overlay window are in the second state, options to perform actions on the overlay window or content of the overlay window are presented.

    Abstract: A method and system for setting a vocal collision queue is disclosed. A plurality of incoming audio streams associated with a plurality of user devices currently involved in a communication session is recorded. There is an overlap between portions of two or more of the audio streams in the communication session that is identified. A queue for the two or more identified audio streams is determined. The queue includes a sequence to the identified audio streams. Recordings corresponding to the overlapping portions of the identified audio stream are retrieved. The retrieved recordings are provided to the user devices in the communication session. The retrieved recordings are played sequentially in accordance with the determined sequence.
