Abstract:
A disc-stopping device for preventing disc scratches is disclosed. The disc-stopping device is used in a disc apparatus. The disc apparatus includes a chassis and a tray. The tray, which holds the disc, is movably connected to the chassis and selectively located at an ejection position and an access position. The disc-stopping device includes a stopper and a supporter. The stopper is disposed on the tray and substantially located on a first plane relative to the tray. The supporter is disposed on the chassis. When the tray is located at the ejection position, the disc is located on a second plane relative to the tray. When the tray is located at the access position, the disc is located on the first plane. When the ejection operation of the disc is performed, the supporter supports the disc while the stopper stops the rotation of the disc and the stopper pushes the disc to the ejection position.
Abstract:
A method for automatically recording snapshots of a computer screen during a computer session for later playback, comprises receiving a start indication, and automatically recording snapshots of a computer screen periodically during the computer session after the start indication is reached. An apparatus for performing such function comprises a frame buffer for storing snapshots of the computer screen, a FIFO cache memory, a mass storage memory, and programmed means. The programmed means receives a start indication, periodically copies data from the frame buffer to the FIFO cache memory during a computer session after the start indication is reached, and compresses the stored data before storing it the mass storage memory for later playback.
Abstract:
A method generates information for a window view of an integrated circuit from layout-formatted data such as GDSII formatted data. The method includes generating outer boundary boxes for structures of the integrated circuit from the layout-formatted data, generating a build file by including information of structures having outer boundary boxes completely or partially in a window, and generating information of the window view from the information thus included in the build file. In generating the build file, information of structures having outer boundary boxes completely outside the window are excluded from the build file. Also excluded is information of structures having areas less than a threshold value.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for inserting antenna diodes into an integrated circuit design is described. During the design process, diode cells are placed in filler cells of the integrated circuit design, but left unconnected. Subsequently, when an ECO is received requiring antenna diodes to be inserted in the integrated circuit design, only metal mask changes are required to connect the diode cells to gate electrodes of specified transistors or cells. Since the diode cells are already part of the original integrated circuit design layout, it is not necessary to perform a re-layout of the design cells with the diode cells performing antenna diode functions, thereby speeding up the EDA redesign process as well.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for avoiding conflicts between evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Services (eMBMS) operations and paging and/or mobile originated (MO) operations in communication systems. A method for wireless communications by a user Equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes identifying at least one evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) session available for receiving one or more eMBMS services from a base station. The method also includes taking one or more actions to reduce a conflict between receiving the one or more eMBMS services from the base station and receiving a paging message from the base station during the eMBMS session. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for configuring resources at a device operating in a sleep mode of a wireless network. The device can use at least some of the resources for other purposes, such as scanning neighbor base stations, acquiring system parameters of the wireless network or other networks, etc., based in part on requirements of a current interval of the sleep mode. In an available interval, a serving base station may attempt to communicate with the device, and thus, the device can keep at least one receiver chain tuned to the serving base station while assigning other resources to communicate with other base stations. In an unavailable interval, the device can assign all resources for communicating with the other base stations.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus is configured to monitor for a notification of MCCH information change associated with an MBSFN area without having previously performed an MCCH information acquisition procedure to acquire MCCH information in the MBSFN area. Furthermore, the apparatus is configured to acquire the MCCH information while monitoring for the notification of the MCCH information change that indicates a change of MCCH information.
Abstract:
Post-hard handover processing in a Time Division—Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA) network may be improved to allow operation of High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) in hard handover. For example, uplink synchronization may be completed concurrent with HSPA to quickly resume HSPA operation in hard handovers. User Equipment (UE) may receive downlink data while completing uplink synchronization. In another example, a unique SYNC_UL code may be assigned to a UE for hard handover. The unique SYNC_UL code allows Node Bs of the TD-SCDMA network to know which UE is performing hard handover. When a Node B is receiving the unique SYNC_UL, the Node B may begin to allocate UL data grants. After receiving UL data from the UE, the Node B may resume High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA).
Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods for improving a service flow of a mobile device based upon a different level of its available battery power. If the battery power availability is below a predefined threshold, then one or more power-saving techniques can be triggered that increase an air time of the mobile device and provide savings of power consumption at different rates using a different level of clock rate.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided that include decoding multicast broadcast communications where scheduling information related to a multicast channel is not properly received over a control channel. Media access control (MAC) packets can be decoded to determine whether a MAC subheader indicates the packet relates to a logical channel by indicating an associated channel identifier. Where the channel identifier of the MAC packet matches that of a requested logical channel, data in the MAC packet can be provided to a communications layer. Subsequent packets can be processed and provided to the communications layer until a different channel identifier is encountered.
