    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may experience poor communication with a network access device, and the network access device may configure the UE to connect to, and route communications through, one or more relay nodes (e.g., which may be another UE, a network operator-deployed relay, etc.). Techniques are described whereby these relay nodes may autonomously form a wireless backhaul network. Sequential implementations are considered such that the size of the wireless backhaul network may scale efficiently. In some examples, the wireless backhaul network may form by reusing existing connectivity establishment procedures. Importantly, the proposed techniques enable a relay to possess (e.g., be configured with) functionality that may traditionally be associated with a UE, base station, and gateway. Such multi-faceted functionality may enable the described sequential formation of wireless backhaul networks with tree topology.

    Abstract: Wireless communication systems and methods related to quality of service mapping, are provided. A first user equipment determines a sidelink radio bearer identifier (SLRB ID) for a quality of service (QoS) flow from a plurality of rules. The rules identify different characteristics of the QoS flow. The SLRB ID is inserted into a header of a packet in the QoS flow. The QoS flow is mapped to a radio bearer that is mapped to an L2 link with other radio bearers that are mapped to other QoS flows. The L2 link transmits the radio bearers to a second UE as part of a broadcast, groupcast or unicast sidelink communication. Based on the SLRB ID, the second UE identifies requirements of the QoS flow.

    Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a system information block of type 21 (SIB21) from a network device. The SIB21 indicates a communication resource pool associated with a sidelink. The method further includes receiving one or more messages from the network device based on receiving the SIB21 and prior to communicating using the communication resource pool. The method further includes communicating, based on verifying an identity of the network device based on the one or more messages, via the sidelink using the communication resource pool and based on a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) wireless communication protocol.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a network may establish a multiple access (MA) packet data unit (PDU) session for a local area data network (LADN) and may reconfigure a registration area to map to a LADN service area. A network may establish an MA PDU session for an LADN, but may steer traffic to only one of two access links. A network may reject a request for an MA PDU if it is for an LADN. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to trigger a UE registration update or other location information if it leaves an LADN service area while in an idle mode with one access network and a connected mode with the other access network. A UE may request LADN registration, and the network may provide the UE with an indication that MA PDU sessions for the LADN are not supported.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided for supporting sidelink communication between multiple user equipment (UEs), and which may be implemented in various apparatuses, methods, and/or articles of manufacture. In certain aspects a first UE may establish a sidelink schedule with a second UE, wherein the sidelink schedule corresponds to at least a subset of communication resources indicated available to both the first and second UEs by one or more corresponding link availability schedules or the like. The two UEs may then establish a sidelink with the second UE in accordance with the sidelink schedule. Multiple sidelink schedules may be agreed upon in certain instances such that the UEs may dynamically switch from one schedule to another as desired.

    Abstract: A transmitting device may determine a zone identifier (ID) for the transmitting device and transmit a message including the zone ID directly to at least one receiving device. In certain aspects, a relay device may be configured to receive the message comprising a first zone ID for a transmitting device, to determine whether to relay the message based at least on the first zone ID, and if the relay device determines to relay the message, to transmit a relayed message including information reflecting the first zone ID. In certain aspects, a receiving device may be configured to identify a message comprising information indicating a first zone ID for a transmitting device, to determine whether to decode data of the message based at least on the first zone ID for the transmitting device, and to decode or refrain from decoding the data of the message based on the determination.
