    Abstract: A method and device for thermal mitigation. The communications device including a first radio communications subsystem configured to operate according to a first radio communications protocol and a second radio communications subsystem configured to operate according to a second radio communications protocol. The first radio communications subsystem includes a temperature sensor and an electronic processor configured to determine, via the temperature sensor, a first temperature indicative of a temperature of the second radio communications subsystem, compare the first temperature to at least one predetermined temperature threshold, and deactivate the second radio communications subsystem when the first temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature threshold of the at least one predetermined temperature threshold.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for beamforming audio signals received from a microphone array. One example embodiment provides an electronic device. The electronic device includes a microphone array and an electronic processor communicatively coupled to the microphone array. The electronic processor is configured to estimate an ambient noise level. The electronic processor is configured to compare the ambient noise level to a first threshold and a second threshold, the second threshold being lower than the first threshold. The electronic processor is configured to determine a beam pattern for the microphone array based on the comparison of the ambient noise level to the first threshold and the second threshold. The electronic processor is configured to apply the beam pattern to an audio signal received by the microphone array.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a correct voice command. One system includes a communication device that includes an electronic processor configured to receive a first voice command via a microphone and analyze the first voice command using a first type of voice recognition. The electronic processor determines that an action to be performed in accordance with the first voice command is unrecognizable based on the analysis using the first type of voice recognition. The electronic processor transmits the first voice command to a remote electronic computing device accompanying a request requesting that the first voice command be analyzed using a second type of voice recognition different from the first type of voice recognition. The electronic processor receives, from the remote electronic computing device, a second voice command corresponding to the action and different from the first voice command, and outputs, with a speaker, the second voice command.

During operation, device identities will be determined for members forming a personal-area network (PAN).     Abstract: Apparatus and method for extended operational bandwidth amplifiers with fractional instantaneous bandwidth feed forward correction. In one embodiment, the method includes amplifying a radio frequency (RF) input signal to provide an amplified RF signal and introducing a first delay in the amplified RF signal. The method also includes receiving an error signal of the amplified RF signal and centering a correction bandwidth with respect to the amplified RF signal. The method also includes amplifying the error signal and combining the amplified RF signal and the amplified error signal to reduce an error in the amplified RF signal. The first delay is smaller than a second delay caused by the error path.

The remote speaker microphone further includes a toggle switch lever that rocks back and forth relative to the bezel. The remote speaker microphone further includes a bezel opening through which the toggle switch lever extends at the outer surface. The bezel and the toggle switch lever define a predetermined gap within the bezel opening and within which the toggle switch lever rocks.     Abstract: A device, system and method for determining and providing bearer indications for a group communication session is provided. A server for managing a group communication session determines active communication devices of the group communication session. The server determines bearer indications for the active communication devices, the bearer indications indicating: whether a respective bearer of an active communication device is a unicast bearer or a multicast bearer; and whether the respective bearer has a guaranteed bit rate or no guaranteed bit rate. The server transmits, to each of the active communication devices, the bearer indications to cause each of the active communication devices to provide, at a respective notification device, a notification of the bearer indications.

    Abstract: A communication server and a method of operating for distributing an application to a plurality of portable communication devices in response to a public safety event. The communication server includes an electronic processor that determines an incident area that geographically surrounds a location of the public safety event, and determines a desired number and desired roles of personnel to respond to the public safety event. The electronic processor also determines whether portable communication devices are located within the incident area. The electronic processor then automatically transmits the application to portable communication devices located within the incident area and associated with the desired roles of personnel until the application is installed on a number of portable communication devices that equals the desired number of personnel for each role.
