摘要: A copy button is pushed to output image data to an external storage medium, such as a USB memory. Then, a process for writing the image data in the USB memory is executed, and an image corresponding to the image data is printed. When the printed image is light, a density controlling button is pushed, and then, the copy button is pushed again. The image data is called up from a RAM, and a process for causing a density of the image data to be darker is executed, via a tone translator of the electronic blackboard. The image data on which image density control has been executed is written over the data previously stored in the USB memory.

摘要: A image forming apparatus 100 has a network interface 103 for receiving data transmitted from an external apparatus, and a control unit 102 for interpreting content of data received by the network interface 103. The image forming apparatus 100 further has a printing unit 101 for executing print processing based upon print data if print data has been received by the network interface 103, and a restoration control unit 107 for exercising control so as to place the control unit 102 in an active state or inactive state. The restoration control unit 107 of the image forming apparatus 100 starts supplying a low-speed clock to the control unit 102 in the inactive state in response to receipt of data by the network interface 103, and starts supplying a high-speed clock in response to an interpretation by the control unit 102 that the content of the data is print data.

摘要: If a CPU is informed that “1200×1200 dpi” is selected from an input unit, the CPU switches a normal 8-bit RIP process with 600×600 dpi to a 1-bit RIP process with 1200×1200 dpi. Image data, which has become 1-bit data with 1200 dpi, is stored in a page memory. A pixel packing process unit executes (2×2) packing when the image data stored in the page memory is to be output from the page memory. The packed Y color image data is restored, without delay, to a normal pixel unit in a pixel division unit. The packed M color image data is restored, with a delay in a delay memory, to a normal pixel unit in the pixel division unit. The packed C color image data is restored, with a delay in the delay memory, to a normal pixel unit in the pixel division unit. The packed K color image data is restored, with a delay in the delay memory, to a normal pixel unit in the pixel division unit.

摘要: A web-fed printing press, in particular a newspaper printing press having at least two printing press subsystems, is disclosed. Each printing press subsystem has a printing unit comprised of several printing mechanisms, a web guidance unit for conveying printed and unprinted substrate webs and a turning bar unit having several turning bars. The printing press subsystems guide the printed substrate webs over at least one shared folding unit. At least one printing press subsystem is designed differently in comparison with the other or each other printing press subsystem such that substrate webs are printable with a different number of print pages in the printing press subsystems.
