The offset voltage of the amplifier is set based upon the results of observation provided by the output observing element. Adjustment of the offset voltage is thus set automatically.

    摘要: An AC waveform monitoring system includes detecting circuitry for providing a sensed analog signal. Oscillator circuitry is coupled to the detecting circuitry for providing a zero crossing signal. The oscillator circuitry is synchronized with a frequency of the sensed analog signal. Signal processing circuitry is coupled to both the detecting circuitry and the oscillator circuitry for identifying a peak voltage signal and an integral volt-seconds signal of the sensed analog signal responsive to the zero crossing signal. Digital processing circuitry is coupled to the signal processing circuitry and the oscillator circuitry. The digital processing circuitry includes memory for storing a plurality of predetermined signal voltage boundary values and a program utilizing the identified peak voltage signal, the integral volt-seconds signal and the stored predetermined signal values to identify an abnormal voltage event.

    摘要: System operating regimes are identified by dividing a range of each one of a plurality of sensed system parameters into a plurality of predetermined range segments, assigning an alphanumeric character to each range segment of each parameter, and generating a composite number, each digit of which is made up of one of the alphanumeric range segment characters of each parameter. Apparatus compares the current sensed values of each parameter to the corresponding predetermined range segments to determine the current range segment of each sensed parameter, generates a current composite number made up of the current range segments of all of the parameters, and compares the current composite number to a plurality of predetermined system operating regimes to determine if the current composite number identifies one of a plurality of system operating regimes. The current composite number is converted to a base ten equivalent to facilitate the comparison of the current composite number to the plurality of system operating regimes.

    摘要: An arrangement for controlling the scan of a spectrometer employs a computer and associated equipment for initiating one complete scan of the spectrometer. During this scan where partial ranges of signal values are detected, said ranges being of particular interest, repeated scans of these ranges occurs until a sufficient number to provide useful information is obtained and, thereupon, the continuous scan of the spectrometer is continued. The equipment employed includes address registers and comparison circuitry for indicating and storing the addresses of those signal values which the computer has selected after a determination has been made that a partial range exists. Where signal values far exceed the threshold value which defines a partial range, no repeated scanning is employed or is necessary.
