摘要: A method for heating an exhaust gas aftertreatment component in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine. At the combustion chamber, a fuel injector for injecting a fuel into the combustion chamber and a spark plug for igniting a flammable fuel-air mixture are arranged. The internal combustion engine has a valve lift curve switching mechanism, which allows for a shift and/or change of the opening times of the exhaust valve. The method includes: intake of fresh air into the combustion chamber, injection of a fuel into the combustion chamber, ignition of an ignitable fuel-air mixture in the combustion chamber when the piston is in a range of 10° KW to 30° KW after the upper ignition dead point, and opening of the exhaust valve when the piston is in a range of 55° KW to 95° KW after the upper ignition dead point.

摘要: A combustion engine for a vehicle includes a first centrifugal device for varying timing of a first plurality of suction or relief valves with respect to the drive shaft. A driving disc is mounted idle on a first camshaft which controls the valves, and at least one driven disc is integral with the camshaft. Drive elements for transmitting motion from the driving disc to the driven disc are interposed between the two discs causing a relative rotation of the driven disc with respect to the driving disc when the rotation speed of the discs exceeds a predetermined threshold. A distribution system connects the drive shaft with the driving disc so as to cause the rotation thereof. A second gear meshes with a first gear so that rotation of the driving disc mounted on the first camshaft causes the rotation of the second camshaft to control other valves of the engine.

Methods are disclosed that include deactivating the deactivated cylinders and operating the activated cylinders, while the exhaust pulse valve is actuated by fully opening the exhaust pulse valve when at least one of the multiple exhaust valves to the at least one activated cylinder is open and fully closing the exhaust pulse valve when each of the multiple exhaust valves to the at least one activated cylinder is closed.

摘要: An internal-combustion engine includes a variable compression ratio mechanism for changing a mechanical compression ratio, and a variable valve timing mechanism for changing the valve timing of an intake valve. When acceleration is demanded, a target compression ratio is set to a lower compression ratio than the target value in a normal condition, and the valve timing is set to the advance angle side. Since the allowable combustion pressure decreases in a prescribed intermediate compression ratio region, if an actual compression ratio exists in the prescribed intermediate compression ratio region in the course of a compression ratio change accompanying acceleration, the variable compression ratio mechanism restricts the intake pressure by increasing a degree of opening of a wastegate valve or reducing a degree of opening of a throttle valve, for example.
