    摘要: In a steam-heating apparatus in which a heating section formed in a heat exchanger is connected to a steam supply pipe for receiving supply of heating steam and connected also to a condensate recovering unit for discharging condensate produced as a result of heating, the apparatus includes a steam ejector including a suction chamber connected to the heating section and an inlet for receiving supply of the steam. When the temperature of the heating section or between the heating section and the condensate recovering unit is dropped by a predetermined value, steam is supplied from the steam supply pipe to the inlet of the steam ejector, and gas in the heating section is sucked into the suction chamber of the steam ejector.

    摘要: A feed water heater has a longitudinally cylindrical body comprising a cylindrical shell portion constituting a main body portion of a feed water heater and a water box-shaped chamber operatively connected to the cylindrical shell portion and partitioned by a tubesheet. In the cylindrical shell portion, a heat exchanger tube bank is arranged and supported by a plurality of support plates, a drain cooling section is disposed in association with the heat exchanger tube bank for carrying out a heat recovery of a drain generated in the heat exchanger tube bank, a dilution condensing chamber is provided for the heat exchanger tube bank and adapted to excessively flow the steam into the heat exchanger tube bank, and a non-condensable gas chamber is provided for the heat exchanger tube bank. The drain cooling section, the dilution condensing chamber and the non-condensable gas chamber are arranged axially in this order in the cylindrical shell from the tube sheet.

    摘要: A system and method for controlling the operation of a steam condenser in a power plant which includes a steam turbine, the condense having: a steam flow path including a steam inlet connected to receive turbine exhaust steam from the turbine steam outlet, a condensate outlet and a heat exchange region located between the steam inlet and the condensate outlet; a cooling water flow path having an inlet and an outlet and heat exchange elements for conducting cooling water through the heat exchange region, and a non-condensible product removal path having an inlet communicating with the heat exchange region and an outlet located outside of the heat exchange region. Control is effected by: measuring fluid flow at the steam inlet, the condensate outlet, the cooling water inlet and the cooling water outlet; providing a computer model of the condenser in its normal operating condition, supplying the model with representations of the measured flows at the steam inlet and the cooling water outlet, and producing, in the model, indications of the flow at the condensate outlet and the cooling water outlet when the condenser is in its normal operating condition; comparing the indications from the producing step with the measured flow at one of the condensate outlet and the cooling water outlet from the measuring step; and effecting a computerized analysis of the result of the comparing step for providing an indication of the probable cause of differences between the compared indications and flows.

    摘要: An improved steam power system comprising a turbine for converting steam energy into mechanical energy upon expansion of steam therein, a boiler for generating steam to be fed to the turbine, and a conduit arrangement coupling the boiler to the turbine input and then coupling the turbine exhaust to the boiler through air cooled steam condensing mechanisms, the condensing mechanisms including a plurality of U-shaped tubes through which the expanded steam flows and is condensed; front header means at the input ends of the tubes located in the cooler ambient air exposed regions of the tubes for receiving exhaust steam from the turbine; rear header means at the output ends of the tubes located in the warmer unexposed regions of the tubes for receiving condensate and non-condensible gasses; and means in the rear headers to remove non-condensible gasses from the rear headers, the tubes being designed and constructed to protect the tubes from freezing for lack of steam by employing a tube arrangement that flows steam from the input headers not only for its exposed single row condensing duty but for a second row as well, the second row being located in the heated and protected unexposed center of the tube bundles thus insuring an additional supply of steam from the inner rows for the exposed tubes in the top and bottom faces of the bundles which require the most protection.

    摘要: A multi-flash evaporator having modular vertical cyclone chambers designed to generate a paraboloid of revolution providing an extended surface area for release of flashed vapors and attaining equilibrium. With multiple stages, the system incorporates deep loop seals to prevent blowby between stages at all levels of capacity and employs a vapor lift system to permit low pressure differentials between stages at high vacuum. The cyclone chambers employ an intermediate tangential inlet whereby the flashing vapors propel the liquid at higher velocities to generate a deeper paraboloid of revolution and centrifugally separate the heavier liquid from the flashing vapor. An anti-creep ring is interdisposed at the top of the cyclone to prevent the liquid from entering a mesh so only vapor impinges on the mesh and passes to the heat recovery condensers embodying a bayonet augmented tube heat exchanger.

    摘要: An air cooled vacuum producing condenser is disclosed for condensing vapors containing non-condensible gases, i.e. air. The condenser includes a condenser chamber with a bundle of condenser tubes across the chamber. Inlet and outlet headers are disposed at opposite ends of the chamber. Water is directed downwardly onto the bundle of condenser tubes, and air is discharged from the interior of the chamber to create a downward flow of air through the chamber across the bundle of condenser tubes.
