摘要: A process for synthesizing methanol may involve supplying a CO2 stream consisting predominantly of carbon dioxide and an H stream consisting predominantly of hydrogen to a methanol reactor arrangement for conversion to methanol. A tail gas stream comprising unreacted hydrogen may be obtained from the methanol reactor arrangement. The unreacted hydrogen may be at least partly recycled to the methanol reactor arrangement. The tail gas stream is supplied to a hydrogen recovery arrangement to obtain a return stream comprising the unreacted hydrogen. The molar proportion of hydrogen in the return stream may be higher than in the tail gas stream.

摘要: A chemical system for an operation exhibiting steady-state gain inversion is provided herein and includes a reactor configured to receive a feed stream and produce an outlet stream to form a process and a control device configured to control a process. The control device receives inputs indicative of an operational parameter and output variables and, in response to the inputs and output variables, provides a steady-state manipulated input configured to control or optimize the process. The control device includes an input disturbance model, a state estimator, a non-linear steady-state target calculator, and a regulator configured to provide a signal for adjustment of one or more inputs based on the steady-state manipulated input and associated output variables.

摘要: The present invention provides apparatuses and processes for producing high octane fuel from synthesis gas. The process combines transalkylation and zeolite-forming/aromatization in conjunction with a single recycle loop configuration in order to effectively promote the fuel quality, particularly octane rating. The process involves adding a step for enriching octane of the fuel coming from the single recycle loop process. Preferably, the enrichment step takes place in an octane enrichment reactor containing two different catalysts, a zeolite-forming/aromatization catalyst followed by a transalkylation catalyst. The final fuel product preferably has an octane of about 92 to about 112.
