Abstract: A dispensing system includes a piezoelectric stack having a distal end and being configured to expand upon application of a voltage such that the distal end is moved by a first length. The system further includes an amplifier with a primary surface to contact the distal end of the stack and a secondary surface, a base configured to contact the secondary surface, and a valve assembly with an outlet orifice and valve element. The valve element is configured to move in first and second directions and is coupled with the amplifier. When the distal end is moved by a first length, a portion of the amplifier is moved by a second length that is greater than the first length, and the valve element is moved in a first direction by the second length.

Abstract: The present injection apparatus is designed for replenishing embedded foundation preservation wraps with preservative whilst avoiding spillage. The injection apparatus comprises an injection bayonet having a lumen fluidly interfacing a plurality of preservative outlet nozzles along the injection bayonet and a preservative inlet fluidly interfacing the lumen. A portable preservative containing tank may be attached to the inlet via a flexible hose. The apparatus further comprises a syringe operating between the preservative inlet and the lumen. When replenishing the preservation wrap, the injection bayonet is inserted between the preservation wrap and the foundation so that preservative is configured to be supplied via the preservative inlet to flow out from the nozzles via the lumen to replenish the preservation wrap with the preservative. After replenishment, the lumen is purged of residual preservative using the syringe.

Abstract: Proposed is an apparatus for inspecting and repairing a dispensed viscous fluid, the apparatus including a dispenser module dispensing a viscous fluid on a workpiece, a vision module generating original images by photographing the viscous fluid dispensed on the workpiece, a robot module moving the dispenser module and the vision module through predetermined paths, respectively, and a control module determining whether a defective part exists in the dispensed viscous fluid by analyzing the original images and controlling the dispenser module and the robot module to dispense a viscous fluid to a defective part when the defective part exists. Accordingly, a defect occurring in the viscous fluid dispensed on the workpiece can be repaired, and furthermore, the shape of the viscous fluid in the repaired part can be formed by using a correction module, thereby improving application quality.

The method includes discharging coating material in a liquid form into the cavity, extracting a first amount of the discharged liquid coating material from the cavity, thereby leaving a residual amount of the liquid coating on the concave surface within the cavity, and maintaining the article in conditions appropriate to allow the residual amount of liquid coating material to cure on the concave surface.
