    摘要: A heat reclaimer for the exhaust flue of a heating unit comprising, a housing having an air input space, an air output space, and an exhaust space, with a plurality of tubes connected between and communicating the air input space with the air output space and extending through the exhaust space. The exhaust flue of the heating unit is connected into the exhaust space of the housing and an exhaust output is connected to the housing extending from the exhaust space for venting exhaust coming from the heater into the exhaust space to a chimney, for example. A float or level switch is connected to the housing near the bottom of the exhaust space for switching, for example, an alarm if water accumulates in the exhaust space from condensed water vapor in the exhaust. At least one hole is also provided in the housing above the level of the float switch to permit condensed water to leave the exhaust space. The hole is provided in case the float switch clogs with soot. A wiping device may also be provided in the exhaust space for wiping the exterior surfaces of the tubes and removing films of water and soot which might accumulate thereon and reduce their heat transfer capacity.

    摘要: A method for removing particulate matter from a gas stream by injecting charged particles into the gas stream to form a large charged surface area to induce charges on the entrained particulate matter. The injected material may be an adsorbent or an absorbent and may be reactive with the gases in the gas stream. The charged particles contained in the gas stream together with the injected particles are passed through a porous moving bed of media such as silica rock; as a result of the electrical charge as well as inertial impact forces on the respective particles, the particles become attached to the media which is continuously changed after it has captured the fine particulate matter. The media, together with attached sorbent additive and particulate matter, may then be incorporated into a product the manufacture of which generated the particulate matter.

A second chamber located beneath the separation chamber collects the liquid by gravity flow and utilizes a liquid level control system to maintain a vapor barrier while discharging the collected liquid at the same rate of accumulation.

A screw conveyor in the dust-collecting trough has two portions for delivering predetermined fractions of the accumulating dust to a discharge duct at one end of the trough and to the return air shaft at its opposite end; the latter fraction is driven by compressed air from a blower through that shaft into the inlet duct to agglomerate with the arriving fine dust, thereby preventing clogging of the filter surfaces by small particles.

    摘要: An upright frame is provided, through which a substantially horizontally flowing stream of gas containing liquid particles can flow. Mounted on edge in the frame are three porous transverse sections disposed face-to-face. The upstream section contains at least one transverse sheet of fine wire mesh disposed face-to-face, the middle section is formed of material for agglomerating fine liquid particles into larger particles and the downstream section contains a plurality of transverse sheets of fine wire mesh disposed face-to-face. Large liquid particles are removed by the first section, and agglomerated particles that do not drain out of the middle are stopped by the downstream section. The liquid draining down the three sections escapes from drain holes in the bottom of the frame.
