The method further includes determining clog rate parameters for a clog rate of a filter area of the intake filter based on the measured pressure drop across the intake filter. The method yet further includes predicting the pressure drop across the intake filter for the intake filter life cycle based on the determined clog rate parameters and providing a recommended time to service the intake filter to an operator of the turbomachinery system based on the predicted intake filter life cycle.

The method includes receiving upstream mass air flow data indicative of a mass air flow on an upstream side of an air filter (i.e., the “dirty side of the filter”), receiving downstream air pressure data indicative of an air pressure on a downstream side of the air filter (i.e., the “clean side of the filter”), and receiving downstream temperature data indicative of a temperature on the downstream side of the air filter. The method also includes determining a differential pressure (ΔP) across the air filter indicative of a loading of the air filter based on the upstream mass air flow data, the downstream air pressure data, and the downstream temperature data.

A method for improving reliability of an integrity or leak test includes determining at least one first parameter indicative of: a first volume of a sample, a first temperature of the sample, a first pressure of the sample and/or a first assessment of integrity of the sample. The method further determines at least one second parameter indicative of a deviation from the first parameter and at least one third parameter indicative of a second assessment of the integrity of the sample. The second assessment provides an indication of a passed or failed test. The method further determines whether the deviation has an impact on the indication of the second assessment. When the deviation is determined to have an impact on the indication of the second assessment, the method comprises identifying a possibility that the indication of the second assessment is incorrect.

Air is then pulled into a housing of the replaceable fan filter unit and out through the replacement filter to the roomside by a fan module. Finally, an aerosol challenge is provided at a location adjacent and upstream of the fan module.
