Abstract: A method for preventing damage in a bearing of a generator of an electrical power system having a power conversion assembly with a first converter coupled to a second converter, and the power conversion assembly electrically coupled to the generator. Further, the method includes monitoring a phase current and voltage of the first converter. The method also includes calculating a common mode power using the phase current and the voltage of the first converter. Moreover, the method includes comparing the common mode power to a predefined power threshold. The method also includes determining whether the common mode power is indicative of degradation in at least one of a bearing insulation or a ground brush based on the comparison of the common mode power to the predefined power threshold.

The method further comprises determining a current value of one or more parameters of the wind turbine (10) when rotating in the predetermined rotation conditions and comparing the current value of the one or more parameters of the wind turbine with one or more reference values (37) to determine the surface condition of the wind turbine blades (22).

Abstract: A wind turbine is provided, including a hub, rotor blades, wherein each rotor blade is rotatably supported at or in the hub by a pitch bearing, a pitch control device for changing a pitch angle of the rotor blades, and a measurement system for capturing a sensor signal in or at the pitch bearing and for changing the pitch angle by the pitch control device as a function of the sensor signal to prevent failure of the pitch bearing due to a lack of lubrication, wherein the sensor signal represents a change in vibration, noise and/or temperature in or at the pitch bearing. Due to the fact that the pitch angle can be changed as a function of the sensor signal, lubrication of the pitch bearing is ensured throughout the lifetime of the pitch bearing. Unnecessary pitch movements can be prevented.

Abstract: The present application discloses a blade fault diagnosis method, apparatus and system, and a storage medium. the method includes: acquiring a blade rotation audio collected by an audio collection device during operation of a wind turbine generator system; preprocessing the blade rotation audio based on a wind noise filtering algorithm to obtain a blade rotation audio filtered out of wind noise; dividing the blade rotation audio filtered out of wind noise to obtain audio segments corresponding to blades of the wind turbine generator system respectively; diagnosing, based on the audio segments, whether the blades each corresponding to one of the audio segments are faulty. The present application can diagnose whether a corresponding blade is faulty respectively according to the audio segments of different blades, which improves the accuracy of the diagnosis results.

Producing the damage state diagnostic may comprise obtaining a measurement dataset for the wind turbine gearbox, integrating field-operator-provided intelligence into the measurement dataset, normalizing the measurement dataset with respect to a known failure behavior for the wind turbine gearbox, and combining the normalized measurement dataset with the known failure behavior to produce the damage state diagnostic.
