摘要： An electromagnetic solenoid of a starter includes: a main solenoid forming an electromagnet to pull a plunger when being energized, a contact unit that controls the motor current ON and OFF.The contact unit includes a motor power switch including fixed contacts and a movable contact driven by the main solenoid; a regulation member disposed to be movable between a regulated position and a released position and a sub solenoid that drives the regulation member to the regulated position and releases the regulation member to the released position.The sub solenoid drives the regulation member to the regulated position before the motor power switch is closed to regulate movement of the movable contact and releases the regulation member to the released position when a predetermined time elapses after the plunger is pulled by the electromagnet to release the movable contact.

摘要： Vehicle engine starting apparatus of automatically restarting an engine by quickly responding to a subsequent engine restart request even if engagement of a pinion gear with a ring gear is failed in the process of a stop of the engine. Pinion gear is displaced such that the pinion gear is engaged with the ring gear at a timing (when rotation speed of the pinion gear and rotation speed of the engine are nearly synchronized with each other with a signal from a control device when a predetermined condition is met. Where an engagement sensor has transmitted a signal “H” indicating engagement failure, when restart of the engine becomes necessary, the pinion gear is displaced toward a ring gear side by the control device.

摘要： An electromagnetic solenoid that controls a motor current of a starter includes: a first switch including first fixed contacts and a first movable contact, intermitting the motor current; a suppression resistor that suppresses the motor current; a second switch including second fixed contacts and a second movable contact, making a short circuit path to bypass the suppression resistor; a first regulation member being driven by a first solenoid, regulating the first switch being closed and releasing the first switch from being regulated after predetermined time elapses; and a second regulation member being driven by a second solenoid, regulating the second switch being closed and releasing the second switch from being regulated after predetermined time elapses when the first switch is released from regulated state. The first and second regulation members are disposed between a regulated position and a released position to regulate the first and second switches.

摘要： An apparatus for starting an engine, including a motor, an output shaft driven by the motor, a pinion provided along the output shaft, and an electro-magnetic solenoid device. The electro-magnetic solenoid device is configured to push the pinion axially toward a ring gear of the engine to mesh the pinion with the ring gear and transfer a rotational force, which is referred to as a motor torque, generated by energization of the motor from the pinion to the ring gear, thereby starting the engine. The apparatus is configured such that, at starting of the engine in its warmed-up state, the motor torque can continue to be applied from the pinion to the ring gear until at least the second compression stroke even when an engine speed varies.

A portion between the ends of the external connection terminal is insert-molded in a terminal anchor block provided with the resin cover. A female terminal of a power supply connector provided at an electric supply line is fitted and electrically connected to the external connection terminal.
