Abstract:
A pick-up head system comprises a housing and a main fan connected in air suctioning relation to the housing for causing the interior of the housing to have a reduced internal air pressure. A secondary substantially continuously available source of low air pressure has an inlet connected in air suctioning relation to the housing. A valve is operatively mounted between the housing and the inlet of the source of low air pressure. A control mechanism is operatively connected to the valve and responsive to at least one operational condition in the pick-up head system. In a reduced-flow position, the air pressure in the housing is unaffected by the vacuum tank. In the increased-flow position, when the at least one operational condition passes a threshold, the vacuum tank decreases the air pressure in the housing, thus precluding the escape of dust and other fine particulate matter from the interior of the housing.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed generally to waste water vessels with multiple valved chambers, and associated systems and methods. A method in accordance with a particular embodiment includes drawing waste water into a first chamber under vacuum while the first chamber and a second chamber have at least approximately the same internal pressure. The method further includes allowing the waste water to pass from the first chamber to the second chamber while the first chamber and a second chamber have at least approximately the same internal pressure, releasably sealing the first chamber from fluid communication with the second chamber, and simultaneously adding waste water to the first chamber and removing wastewater from the second chamber while the first chamber is sealed from fluid communication with the second chamber.
Abstract:
A robot cleaner to perform cleaning without interruption of travel when passing over an obstacle. The robot cleaner includes a main body, and drive devices at left and right sides of the main body. Each drive device includes a main wheel to drive the main body, a drive motor to rotate the main wheel, a gear assembly to transmit power from the drive motor to the main wheel, a drive shaft to assist the main wheel in rotating by rotation power, and an auxiliary wheel connected to a distal end of the drive shaft so as to be located closer to the center of the main body than the main wheel. If the main wheel is lifted from a floor when passing over an obstacle during traveling, the auxiliary wheel protrudes downward to reach the floor, assisting the main body in traveling to escape from the obstacle.
Abstract:
A pick-up head system for use with a surface cleaning vehicle comprises a housing having a substantially hollow interior and a suctioning bottom opening. A debris suctioning inlet in the housing is disposed adjacent the first end of the housing for suctioning debris into the housing. A debris outlet in the housing is open in fluid communication and debris transfer relation to the substantially hollow interior of the housing. Debris is suctioned into the substantially hollow interior of the housing through the debris suctioning inlet, and is discharged from the housing through the debris outlet.
Abstract:
A work apparatus is comprised of a blower unit including a drive motor, a volute casing, a fan rotatably supported within the volute casing and driven by the drive motor, and an airflow duct connected to the volute casing, thereby blowing out or sucking in air through the airflow duct; and of an airflow tube coupled to the airflow duct of the blower unit and having an open distal end for blowing out or sucking in air through the airflow tube. The airflow tube is provided with a grip handle adapted for being held and operated by the operator. Within the airflow tube is arranged an electrically conductive wire at least between the grip handle and the open distal end, beyond which is provided an electrically grounding wire connected to the electrically conductive wire and drooping therefrom to be touchable to earth.
Abstract:
A leaf blower wheel attachment that is connected to a canister suction attachment that is part of a typical leaf blower. The bottom end of the canister suction attachment is placed into each of two U-shaped attachment members. A pair of wheels are utilized, with each wheel being associated with one of the U-shaped attachment members. Each wheel has an associated wheel axle centrally disposed though a horizontal axis thereof, with each wheel axle operationally engaging the outer wall of each elongated U-shaped attachment members to secure the associated wheel to the canister. The canister suction attachment can then be dragged across a ground surface while in use instead of being carried.
Abstract:
A pick-up head system for use with a surface cleaning vehicle comprises a housing with a debris receiving main inlet and a debris outlet. A rotatable door assembly is mounted on the housing at the debris receiving main inlet for rotation about a substantially horizontally oriented door pivot axis, for controlling the passage of debris through the debris receiving main inlet. In use, as the rotatable door assembly rotates about the horizontally oriented door pivot axis to thereby permit debris to enter the housing through the debris receiving main inlet. An air flow barrier disposed between the rotatable door assembly and the housing substantially precludes the passage of air and small debris between the rotatable door assembly and the housing.
Abstract:
A pick-up head system for use with a surface cleaning vehicle comprises a housing having a suctioning bottom opening open in fluid communication and debris transfer relation to the interior. A debris receiving main inlet is disposed in the front wall of the housing, in debris transfer relation for receiving debris to the housing. A substantially sealed continuous-debris-passing door apparatus is operatively mounted on the housing at the debris receiving main inlet in vertically movable relation for movement between a substantially sealed surface engaging position whereat the substantially sealed continuous-debris-passing door apparatus extends upwardly from the level of the bottom peripheral edge of the housing, and a raised position whereat the substantially sealed continuous-debris-passing door apparatus is raised above the substantially sealed surface engaging position; and a debris outlet in the housing open in fluid communication and debris transfer relation to the substantially hollow interior of the housing.
