    摘要: A pump for removing fluid from a floor covering includes a piston chamber, a piston disposed within the piston chamber, a nozzle plate for pressing against the floor covering and having a plurality of nozzles extending therefrom, a reservoir for storing fluid removed from the floor covering, and a diverting valve having an interior. The diverting valve defines a first fluid flow path, a second fluid flow path, and a third fluid flow path. A method of removing fluid from a floor covering includes causing a piston to move in a first direction within a piston chamber, drawing fluid through a plurality of nozzles of a nozzle plate and into the piston chamber, causing the piston to move in a second direction within the piston chamber, and pushing fluid from the piston chamber and into a reservoir extending circumferentially around the piston chamber.

    摘要: A hand-held, trigger-actuated gun heats solder to be removed from a workpiece and sucks the molten solder from a hollow tip through a small-diameter suction tube into a larger-diameter chamber from which it may be removed at intervals through a discharge tube. The tip placed in contact with the solder is heated by a heater of the type used in soldering irons. A cylinder communicates with the chamber in such manner that solder is not drawn into the cylinder. The piston in the cylinder is actuated either by a solenoid energized when the trigger is pulled or by a mechanical linkage connected to the trigger.

The bottom end of the canister suction attachment is placed into each of two U-shaped attachment members. A pair of wheels are utilized, with each wheel being associated with one of the U-shaped attachment members. Each wheel has an associated wheel axle centrally disposed though a horizontal axis thereof, with each wheel axle operationally engaging the outer wall of each elongated U-shaped attachment members to secure the associated wheel to the canister. The canister suction attachment can then be dragged across a ground surface while in use instead of being carried.

    摘要: A stripping system employing an end-effector with a nozzle and at least one brush circumferentially disposed around that nozzle, and a vacuum device for creating a vacuum between the nozzle and the brush, can remove substances from a substrate with such complete effluent recovery so as to prevent flash rusting of the substrate. The nozzle has orifices, bores, and a plenum chamber such that the plenum chamber is sufficiently large to maintain the desired pressure and amount of liquid to the orifices, the bores have a sufficient length to orient the liquid flowing therethrough in a laminar flow upon reaching the orifices, and the orifices are sized and oriented on the nozzle face in order to produce an even energy profile when the liquid strikes the substrate. The brush has sufficient tuft density and bristle stiffness to allow make-up air into the vacuum while preventing the escape of effluent.
