摘要: The present invention relates to an injection device for automatic torsion spring driven injection of a liquid drug. The injection device is of the type wherein a telescopically movable needle shield activates the release of the torque of the torsion spring to drive the injection when the needle shield is moved from its extended position to a retracted position. The injection device further has a needle holder carrying the injection needle, which needle holder is axially movable both in relation to the housing and in relation to the needle shield. It is therefore possible to retract the needle shield in relation to the housing and at the same time move the needle holder to its extended position such that the injection needle is presented outside the needle shield thereby providing for easy exchange of the injection needle.

摘要: The present disclosure is generally directed to a drive mechanism for use in a drug delivery device having a cylindrical cartridge, i.e. a handheld injection device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The drive mechanism includes a base element, a toothed piston rod, which is guided within and movable relative to the base portion, and a drive gear having a pinion, which is rotatably held in the base element and in meshed engagement with the toothed piston rod. The toothed piston rod includes multiple rigid rod pieces which are connected by hinges. The rigid rod pieces comprise a flat plate provided with a straight toothed rack.

摘要: Medical device (1) for injecting a set dose of an injectable product into a patient, the device having a cartridge containing the injectable product, a movable dosing driver (11) and a movable dose setting driver (15), and an end-of-contents indicator system (13) having counting means (17) with a counting part (19), and indication means (21) with a signal part (23), wherein the counting part (19) and the signal part (23) are formed with cooperating end-of-contents contact faces (25′, 25″), wherein the signal part (23) is movable between a first indication position and a second indication position, wherein the signal part (23) comprises a biasing means (33) for biasing the signal part (23) towards the first indication position, wherein the counting part (19) comprises a coupling (26), said coupling (26) is configured for operably connecting the counting part (19) to the dose setting driver (15), such that moving of the dose setting driver(15) towards increasing the set dose moves the contact face (25′) of the counting part (19) in relation to the contact face (25″) of the signal part (23) towards engagement of the contact surfaces (25′, 25″), and such that moving of the dose setting driver (15) towards decreasing the set dose moves the contact face (25′) of the counting part (19) away from the contact face (25″) of the signal part (23), wherein the counting part (19) is configured for providing engagement of the contact faces (25′, 25″) when the set dose reach the end-of-contents in the cartridge, and wherein the counting part (19) is configured for moving the signal part (23) towards the second indication position when the set dose is exceeding the end-of-contents in the cartridge. This way, if the user tries to dial a dose of drug beyond the amount remaining in the cartridge, an additional indication is given to the user via a distinctive area (41/43) of the signal part (23) becoming visible through a window (7) of the injector.

The injector may include a housing, a piston rod adapted to operate through the housing, a dose dial sleeve located between the housing and the piston rod, and a drive sleeve located between the dose dial sleeve and the piston rod. The dose dial sleeve may have a helical thread of first lead and the drive sleeve may have a helical groove of second lead. The first lead of the helical thread and the second lead of the helical groove may be the same.

摘要: The present disclosure is generally directed to a resettable drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The drug delivery device comprises a housing, a cartridge holder, releasably attached to the distal end of the housing, a piston rod, engaging a housing insert and a drive member, a dose setting member, guided within the housing to allow rotation of the dose setting member during dose setting and dose dispensing, and a clutch for rotationally coupling the drive member and the dose setting member. The housing insert is rotationally constrained to the housing and is axially movable together with the drive member relative to the housing between a dose setting and dispensing position, and a resetting position. In the dose resetting position. the drive member is rotationally de-coupled from the housing.

摘要: The present invention is directed to an automatic reconstitution drug delivery device. The inventive device effects simple and automatic reconstitution of a dry drug. To effect reconstitution, a user displaces a release button which causes first and second chambers of a drug cartridge to communicate, resulting in automatic mixing of a diluent and dry drug to effect reconstitution of the dry drug. The user then simply sets the dose volume using a dose-setting mechanism, and administers the injection in a manner typical of self-injection drug delivery devices. Whole or partial automatic priming can be also achieved by the device.
