Abstract: A device determines a periodicity of downstream traffic destined for a User Equipment device (UE) and sets a value of at least one Discontinuous Reception (DRx) cycle length parameter to compensate for the determined periodicity of the downstream traffic. The device generates UE DRx instructions that include the at least one DRx cycle length parameter and sends the UE DRx instructions to the UE for implementing DRx at the UE.

Abstract: A Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) device receives first parameters associated with a user device from a first radio access network (RAN) device. The MEC device performs functions associated with an application being executed by the user device and the MEC device is co-located with the RAN device. The MEC device receives second parameters associated with the user device from a core network device. The MEC device modifies performance of the functions based on the received first and second parameters and provides third parameters associated with the user device to a second RAN device that is co-located with the MEC device for adjusting performance of a network.

Abstract: A base station may allocate wireless communication resources to configure a synthetic wireless communication signal for use as a radar signal. The synthetic wireless communication signal may be configured according to a wireless communication protocol of a wireless communication network that is associated with the base station. The base station may transmit, from an antenna and toward an area associated with the base station, the synthetic wireless communication signal. The base station may detect a reflected signal that is associated with the synthetic wireless communication signal. The base station may process the reflected signal to generate radar data; and perform an action associated with the radar data and the area.

Abstract: A system described herein may register a particular Service-Based Interface (“SBI”) with a core network (e.g., a Fifth Generation core (“5GC”)). The core network may maintain information associating the system with the particular SBI. The system may request core network information, associated with the core network, from the core network. The core network may provide the requested core network information to the device via the registered particular SBI. The system may provide the core network information, received via the particular SBI, to a radio access network (“RAN”), such as an Open-RAN (“O-RAN”), which may modify RAN configuration parameters based on the provided core network information. The system may also receive requests for RAN information from the core network via the SBI, may obtain the information from one or more elements of the RAN, and may provide the requested RAN information to the core network via the SBI.

Abstract: A system described herein may identify Quality of Service (“QoS”) information associated with a User Equipment (“UE”) that is connected to a radio access network (“RAN”) of a wireless network. The QoS information may include or may be based on a network slice identifier, a QoS value, a Service Level Agreement (“SLA”), a model associated with UE attributes, or other suitable information. The system may determine a time division duplex (“TDD”) configuration for the UE based on the identified QoS information and/or models that associate UE attributes to TDD configurations. The system may implement the determined TDD configuration at the RAN. The UE and the RAN may communicate with each other according to the implemented TDD configuration, which may include particular timing information for uplink and downlink communications between the UE and the RAN.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a frequency and network slice selection service is provided. The service may configure network slices at a cell level which may include carrier frequencies or bands that may be ranked in terms of preference for a network slice. The service may provide frequency/band-network slice information to end devices via system information block and radio resource control messages. End devices may perform a cell search procedure and use other criteria to select and establish a network slice connection via a frequency/band of a network slice and in accordance with the service.

Abstract: A method, a system, and a non-transitory storage medium provide for encoding a general packet radio service (GPRS)-tunnel endpoint identifier (GTP-TEID) with data identifying radio frequency (RF) bandwidths supported in a local radio environment (LRE) from which a user equipment (UE) device accesses the wireless access station; sending, via a signaling channel, the GTP-TEID to a core network device; notifying one or more core network devices of an RF bandwidth category level corresponding to the identified RF bandwidths; and applying at least one of a policy rule or a charging rule to a packet data unit (PDU) session for the UE device, based on the RF bandwidth category level.
