Abstract:
A method for controlling a drone including performing operations on a processor configured to control location of the drone are described. The operations on the processor include receiving heart rate messages from a remote device carried by a user, where each heart rate message includes heart rate information of the user, and receiving location messages from the remote device carried by the user, where each location message includes location information of the user. The method includes predicting a future location of the user based on the heart rate messages and the location messages, generating a target location to which the drone is to be moved based on the future location of the user, and commanding the drone to move to the target location. Related devices are disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and system for providing access to a device for a user. The method comprises the steps of receiving an access attempt from the user to the device, identifying the user attempting to access the device, retrieving personal information from a database related to the user, the personal information comprising personal traits of the user, selecting a visual challenge configured based on the personal information, issuing the visual challenge to the user, receiving visual input corresponding to an eye-movement of the user relating to the visual challenge, determining whether the user passed the visual challenge based on the received visual input corresponding to an eye movement of the user, and allowing access to the device for the user if the user passes the visual challenge, or denying access to the device for the user if the user fails the visual challenge.
Abstract:
Methods (FIG. 900), systems and the like for determining which users have an interest in receiving media content and determining when to transmit the media content (i.e., which segment/portion of a media content to transmit) based on user characteristics that are related to the user's interest in the media content. Users/viewers are targeted/selected as candidates for receiving media content based on their interest in the event. Specific segments/portions of the event are identified that are of interest to the users/viewers, such that, real-time transmission (e.g., unicast, broadcast, multicast) of the event may be limited to only those segments/portions of the event that are of interest to the users/viewers.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a system for generating a status output based on sound emitted by an animal. The system comprising: a client (102), a server (104) and a database (106); the database (106) is accessible (107) by the server (104) and comprises historic sound data pertaining to the animal (302) or animals of the same type as the animal; the client (102) comprising circuitry (110) configured to: detect (202) sound emitted (308, 312) by the animal (302); record (204) the detected sound (308, 312); analyze (206) the recorded sound for detecting whether the sound (308, 312) comprises a specific sound characteristic out of a plurality of possible sound characteristics, wherein the sound characteristic includes at least one of intensity, frequency and duration of the detected sound; transmit (208), in response to detecting that the sound (308, 312) comprises the specific sound characteristic, the recorded sound to a server (104); the server (104) comprises circuitry (122) configured to: receive (210) the recorded sound; classify (212) the recorded sound by comparing one or more sound characteristics of the recorded sound with the historic sound data comprised in the database (106); generate (214) the status output based on the classification of the recorded sound. A method (200) for generating a status output based on sound emitted by an animal is also provided.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system for automatically creating a soundtrack, comprising a camera device (1, 1′) for recording a user-generated video, at least one wearable sensor (3, 3′), and a control unit (2, 2′) in communication with the camera device (1, 1′) and the at least one wearable sensor (3, 3′). The control unit (2, 2′) is adapted to generate the soundtrack based on data gathered from the at least one wearable sensor (3, 3′) during the recording of the user-generated video. The invention further relates to a method for automatically creating a soundtrack, computer program product, a computer readable memory storage unit computing arrangement or mobile device (1, 11) for executing the method.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a proximity-sensitive touch sensor array which extends along an input surface of the electronic device and a processing device coupled to the touch sensor array. The processing device is configured to process data captured by the touch sensor array to determine a finger angle at which a finger is directed towards the input surface and an actuation position on the input surface. The processing device is configured to establish an offset-corrected actuation position as a function of the actuation position and the finger angle.
Abstract:
A method, system and devices for creating access to a wireless communication device by using BAN, comprising detecting the presence of a user's body by using a BAN enabled access module connected to the wireless communication device, collecting biometric data of the user and receiving authentication data from a BAN enabled peripheral device through BAN by using the BAN enabled access module and allowing access to the wireless communication device if the collected biometric data and the received authentication data are valid.
Abstract:
A device for weighing a user includes a weight sensor that determines a weight of the user, and a bare feet image sensor that generates an image of the bare feet of the user. The device includes a processor that is responsive to the weight sensor and to the bare feet image sensor and executes computer program instructions to perform operations such as identifying a provisioned user out of one or more provisioned users based on the image of the bare feet of the user standing on the device. A database stores information associated with the image of the bare feet of one or more provisioned users of the device. The weight of the user associated with the identified provisioned is stored. Related devices and methods are provided.
