Abstract: The present technology relates to a communication apparatus and a communication method for performing wireless communication more efficiently. There is provided a communication apparatus acting as a wireless base station including a control section that acquires, from another wireless base station, information related to configuration information regarding the other wireless base station. On the basis of the information related to the configuration information regarding the other wireless base station, the control section performs control to generate sharing verification information indicating whether or not the configuration information regarding the other wireless base station has a commonality with the wireless base station. The control section further performs control to transmit the sharing verification information to the other wireless base station. The present technology may be applied to wireless LAN systems, for example.

Abstract: Frame collisions are prevented in a communication system in which wireless communication is performed in accordance with the IEEE 802.11 standard. A communication unit receives terminal list information including respective addresses of wireless terminals belonging to a predetermined network. In a case where a frame the destination of which is an address included in the transmitted terminal list information is received, a control unit sets a period to prohibit data transmission until communication in the predetermined networks is completed, and in a case where a frame the destination of which is another address not included in the terminal list information is received, the control unit sets a period to prohibit data communication until communication in a network to which the other address belongs is completed.

Abstract: Provided is a communication device that favorably implements SR communication and MU communication. A communication device that operates as a base station includes a determination unit that determines a communication status in a BSS of the communication device, and a control unit that controls transmission and reception of a signal regarding connection change of a terminal according to the communication status to and from a surrounding base station. The determination unit determines the presence of a small number of terminals falling outside a distribution of implementation statuses of spatial reuse communication or multi user communication of entire subordinate terminals, and transmits a signal requesting the small number of terminals to be connected to the surrounding base station or transmits a signal inquiring of the surrounding base station acceptance of the small number of terminals.
